Pokemon #130 - Gyarados
Going through my favorite Pokemon and it's time for my boi Gyarados. Always had him in my team in Fire Red and in other games that I played. Got back into Pokemon Go last year and found my ancient perfect IV Magikarp from 2016. So this build is dedicated to this Karp who waited 7 years to be evolved, haha :)
In terms of poseability - it's head, neck segment and first 2 segments after that are slightly poseable with then big ratchet rotation joints. Same applies to the last 7 segments of its tail. The middle section is a solid chunk with techniс frame inside.

This fella is powered by an old aircraft engine, and can land some heavy punches. Featuring parts of ACTUAL METAL. Yea, that's right. Remember old Ninjago spinners? Those heavy ones. If you unscrew them, it is possible to take out the metal ring that acts as a weight. So, i guess ny entry is 100% lego and no modified parts used since the spinners were not damaged by dissasembly.
Also the lower arms are made of Chima speedorz wheels. Thats makes the guys even more metal!

It's been a while since I've posted my Pokemon Cubone moc! I've managed to order the parts needed and build the version of it more or less close to what i've planned. It's been to several expos now and only now i'm posting the guy.

I guess I'm gonna churn these out until I get dry.
I chose Bell Beast probably because I resently got a lot of grey parts. And because after my pokemon builds segmented bodies feel easy for me. And obviously cuz i needed an irl version of the Silksong's best doggy 🥰
So the body was built quick, head is a bit challenging because of all the angles (six horns is no joke). Tail is flimsy and i hate it. I'm not used to flimsy builds anymore and usually reinforce everything but i got tired and kept it as is.
I didn't enjoy building mini hornet, sadly. Probably because of the challenges i've met while making the big one multiplied by the minifig scale. Also there are so many hornets done by the community it's getting hard not to copy someone else's version. So it kinda felt like bringing a fragile vase over a minefield. Ended up with the simplest version possible. Without eyes even.
Although i had a version with built eyes. It just sucked from the side angle. But here's a WIP pic if you're curious
Bell Beast

That was incredibly fast for me, given how slow i usually am! But the Bell Beast from Silksong might be my favorite doggy ever. Making mini-hornet was a bit of a challenge since there are so many cool versions made in the community. I also feel like the beast's head is a bit unpolished since there are gaps but i kinda like them. The gaps on the front kinda look like nostrils, it's cute! My guess is i'll work on a couple more lego Hollow Knight builds and take a break, switching to a different topic

Well, I'd love to show more of the mid-build pics, but Lace was built over just 2 nights which is a lightning speed for me. So this is all i have. If you are tired of all the fuss around silksong i have bad news for you cuz I just cant stop building characters from the game lul
