Thank you @jollibeeuk for having me at your pre-launch of your Leicester Square store!! ✨ The store officially opens today! I reccomend trying their crispy fried chicken. Reminds me of my childhood visiting my family in Cebu, Philippines!🍗
To many Filipinos, Jollibee is a taste of home that evokes so much nostalgia for them. Also that crispy fried chicken joy has a place in my heart. Traditionally, Filipino culture and our food has lacked representation in the UK. I know it’s just fried chicken but having Jollibee accessible in the middle of central London is huge strides for the representation! It was only 3 years ago the first store opened in the UK and I queued 8 hours alongside hundreds of Filipinos! 😅
For non-Filipinos I don’t hype Jollibee too much- it’s just fast food after all! But I think it’s unprecedented amongst fast food stores how much Jollibee means to Filipinos. When you visit this new London store, look at how many titas and titos (aunts and uncles) are, smiling with the buckets of chicken to go home with! The love pinoy people have for their fried chicken and sweet spaghetti is heartwarming! 💛
I have a video of this event cooking at the moment, look out for that! Thank you to @joaquinpedrovaldes for filming + lending me a belt! (Actual life saver 😂)

For me, boxing has been a lot more than just a fitness journey. It showed me what I’m capable of with hard work and consistency 🥊
After having a fight experience in the ring, my mental health has never been better. I’m doubt myself less and I’m more willing to try new things while I’m young and healthy. I have fully accepted that I may not perform great the first time around. My confidence with how I conduct myself on a day to day has changed drastically. My work ethic has never been better too. ✌🏼
I’d like to thank my coach @kamsboxing for the guidance and for being a great friend. I’d also like to thank the following for helping me on this journey: @jtiftikcoach , @thewhitecollarfightclub , @hybridfitness_pt , @gabriellesalonga and the coaches over at @kocombatacademy

Boxing showed me what I was capable of when I worked hard and was consistent. It’s been own of the most challenging and rewarding journeys in my life. I resonated a lot with the Chinese film, Yolo. It really accurately portrayed how tremendously rewarding the art of boxing is. Couldn’t recommend it more if you looking for something to inspire you in your training or in life! Was really grateful to have the opportunity to speak about my boxing journey at the @milkteafilms screening. 🥊
YOLO is out now in UK cinemas!

Sayang is a little horror film co-directed by fellow Filipino director @jedshepherd and myself, inspired by the Japanese horror, Exit 8.
For a lot of Filipinos and Asians in the UK, trying to pursue something outside of the 9–5 rat race often comes with pressure from family and cultural expectations.
Sayang is a Filipino word for something wasted.
Lost potential. What could have been.
Thank you @milkteafilms & @vertigoreleasing for inviting us to create this short inspired by the film. EXIT 8 in UK cinemas, 24 April.
Directed by @jedshepherd & @rayroberts
Nurse played by @reech1999 P.S. my mama is proud of me and I love her very much ❤️

20 years ago, I started making little films on YouTube.
Didn’t think it would turn into a career.
I just started… and never stopped. Now, I’m a filmmaker who has directed commercials, music videos and documentaries.
I was a shy 12-year-old with a webcam.
Then a point-and-shoot.
Then a borrowed 550D from school.
That was enough.
Making videos for YouTube changed my life.
It helped me find my passion and a platform to share my stories. It connected me to people like me.
And remembering my own story, still pushes me now.
Back then, making videos was accessible, arguably for the first time.
Now it’s even easier and the high end tools are way more accessible
You’ve got everything you need to get started in your pocket.
So what’s stopping you from telling your story?
Thank you @hollyland.eu for inviting me down to @kitplusuk show in Manchester to tell my story of how accessible filmmaking gear changed my life! #filmmaker #filmmaking #storytelling #contentcreator
I’ve been on a mission to find a Persian-style rug since moving in to my new apartment.
I grew up around them. My dad was an antique dealer, so are house was filled with traditional rugs. I find Persian designs really nostalgic and cosy.
Took longer than I expected to find one that wouldn’t severely damage my bank account.
That’s why I’m glad I discovered @kukoonrugs . Family-run, based in Ireland, and actually affordable.

We put on a wholesome evening for this Ramadan. A Filipino Iftar hosted at @bintang_restaurant 🇵🇭. Proud to see Muslims and non-Muslims friends of our Asian creative community come together to break bread (rice).
We were able to raise money for the charity @britishbanglawt , which we’re super proud to be able to support!
Also special thanks to @datebreak.uk for partnering with us and sharing their gourmet dates, which all come with a reflective question to spark conversation, with us!
Portraits of Nikita, taking on Fujifilm GFX 100RF 📸
It’s a compact fixed lens, medium-format camera with a 102 megapixel sensor. It’s beloved for street photography but I wanted to take it for a spin for some portraiture.
Thank you @fujifilmuk for lending me this camera!
