OFF GROUND Afters 007: Rawdecks Rawdecks is the alias of Rodrigo Teixeira, a 24-year-old producer and DJ based in Lisbon, Portugal. Born in 2000, Rawdecks’ musical journey began at an early age, initially diving into hip-hop before discovering the deeper realms of electronic music. Strongly influenced by pioneering techno artists like Surgeon and Paul Ritch, his productions embody a raw yet tightly crafted sound that blends deep, hypnotic atmospheres with intricate rhythms. Rawdecks co-founded Algumritmo Records in the third quarter of 2023 with trusted partners. The label’s mission is to provide a platform for emerging underground talent and to build a sustainable community for artists who are pushing boundaries within electronic music. Beyond his work with his own label, Rawdecks has showcased his talent on various respected labels. His discography includes releases on Algumritmo (his own label), Streamlines, Synapsa, Starskream, Backhaus, Trau-Ma, Point Nemo, Waxxel, E-HRZN Records, TMM Recordings, and Diffuse Reality. Each release highlights his ability to create driving, complex techno that resonates deeply with both listeners and dancers alike. At the end of 2023, alongside some childhood friends, created Algumritmo Records, a Lisbon-based techno label aimed to foster underground talent in a sustainable way. Started producing a couple years before on FL Studio for hip-hop and then slowly changed to Ableton, this time more focused on electronic music. Inaugurated Algumritmo’s catalogue and from then started sending his own music to different labels. He has now released on Streamlines, Backhaus Records, Diffuse Reality, trau-ma, Sine Space 7 and had a few contributions for VA’s from E-HRZN Records, TMM and Waxxel.
