dc11 (@dc11_live ) is the 482nd guest of our original HATE Podcast series. _ 'This podcast is a live one take in the studio, using the same tools I use live in a club, Octatrack, 909, a small modular. A collection of sounds I’ve been toying with recently, quite synth forward and driving; I love synths and love even more putting them forward in the mix. An hour of peak time, straightforward techno.' The Rennes-based artist dc11 got into making music via modular synthesizers and to this day they are his tool of choice in the studio as well as in clubs. Gravitating towards the loopy side of techno, his live sets always leave a big part to improvisation. A few days late as ever, its release day for my “Useless Chain” ep on @planetrhythmrecords . I am beyond happy to be joining the roster of such a legendary label among so many artists whose sounds I look up to. Those tracks were finished juuuuust before the birth of Simon, our second kid, at the very tail end of 2024. These are the last tracks I’ve made in Paris before we packed our stuff and moved to Britanny; a great way to close that chapter of my life. I’ve been sitting with the masters for a long time and I’m so stoked that these are finally out everywhere on wax. Always a special feeling holding a 12” engraved with sounds I’ve made in the studio and see people playing them out. I say it every time but I never gets old ! Thank you so much for the early support to all the djs who took the time to check the release and add it to their rotation, everyone who bought the record and/or files already, it means a lot. The ol' one kick one synth : Oxi with the timely octave changes, GRP with the audio rate pressure, SM-1 with the lead of course.
