It's a bit surreal to be announcing, but @crippled_film will be having its official premiere April 11th and 12th at @mdffparkway ! Link in the bio, you can buy single tickets at 5pm est/2pm pst. I have too many people to thank and not nearly enough slots to tag on here or a character total to do so in the description. Just know if you contributed to this film in anyway I apprecate the hell out of you and we genuinely could not have done this without you. We are still in the process of submitting to different festivals to get this film out there as much as possible. I'm open to appearing on any podcasts/written interviews or any other promotion that can be sent our way, so please feel free to reach out! We are still glowing from the Final Day of Frameline49 and the second screening of “Girlfriend Girlfriend”! We cannot thank @framelinefest enough for the honor of opening “The Fun In Shorts Program”, screening alongside so many amazing films! Welcome to The Genius Insane Lab! @geniusinsaneproductions 🎥🔬📷🔥👍 It’s finally ready for operation! It’s honestly so rewarding that we made this ourselves literally from the ground up with our own two hands! Didn’t need any contractors. Just friends who are down for the cause. So thankful to have such great friendships that understood the mission and we made something special. This is exactly what GeniusInsane is all about! We are a little rough around the edges but we know how to get things done! It takes some ingenuity and genius but comes with a little insanity to make things come to fruition. We made this as a Lab. To test your ideas, experiment and prep for your next shoot! That way on the day of your shoots you can be fully confident on set to execute your storytelling! As a DP so many of my directors and clients hit me up and ask me if I can execute an idea that they may have. Now instead of being theoretical I can finally have a place where I can test their creative and give an accurate answer. I don’t have to do the trial and error process during the shoot, which saves a lot of time on set! This is also where I can do product shoots and podcasts. Hit me up as well, if any of you need a small space to do these kinds of shoots. I’ll hook it up! Thank you @framelinefest for giving “Girlfriend Girlfriend” its WORLD PREMIERE at the historic @roxie_theater yesterday. It was such an honor to screen with seven other of our new favorite shorts films. As this year has been…a time…this festival has reminded us of the importance of art and queer joy. This morning Festival Director @restlesslegsss described the mood perfectly, “We must remember that we in this room are all storytellers and the stories we tell have the power to shape the world- the work we are doing individually and collectively to describe the queer world is revolutionary - don’t lose sight of that. Robert E. Bennett (he/him) @rawbennett is “Girlfriend Girlfriend”’s incredible DP and Producer. Robert E. Bennett is an award-winning cinematographer based in Los Angeles, known for his sharp eye, naturalistic style, and ability to find striking frames on the fly. A graduate of the University of Miami, his early work earned recognition from the Television Academy, and he’s been crafting visually rich, emotionally resonant stories ever since. Came out today to watch cat daddies at laemmle Royal. Showing support for a filmmaker friend of mine @rawbennett

@toratravels hanging outside the Angelika Village East theater last weekend in NYC where we opened Cat Daddies to some amazing crowds. It was awesome getting to see and hang out with these guys and especially getting so many of the people we shot with all in one place, many of whom were seeing the movie for the first time! This weekend Tora and fam have been representing us in Dallas while Mye, @nathanthecatlady , and I have been hanging with our L.A. audiences at the Leammle in Glendale. Next up: San Fransisco at the Roxy theater!
