Quest moves on a different frequency entirely, pulling out genre-bending cuts that don’t sit still - the kind of “devil in musica” energy that keeps things just on the edge. Around them, no fillers. Our residents Ranerro & Teo put together a list of 5 tracks that defined 10 years of SOLVD events at K4. There were many tunes that were special in one way or another, but these tracks definitely left a special mark in the last decade when it comes to our events. This past weekend I was able to play some music at Brussels’ finest radio - @kiosk.radio . It was a nice experience with a super nice booth sound, haah. 💣 I’m not very used of seeing videos of myself or being recorded, so there were a few clumsy movements, many sips of Club-Mate, and some beats as well. I’ve tried to play some deeper emotions, something that in my mind was suitable for the occasion.

We close our 2025 podcast series with Ranerro (@ranerro_ ). Slovenian-born and Amsterdam-based, he has spent over a decade shaping a deep, groove-driven sound that sits between house and tech with a refined touch. His music has appeared on labels such as Djebali, Bondage Music, Berg Audio and Politics of Dancing, and his sets have taken him through many of Europe’s key rooms. About this mix, Ranerro shared: “This mix is a part of my warm-up set from Doka, which I performed in July for my friends from Ritmotica. Doka was the perfect location to play a slower intro that gradually evolves into a more clubby sound. I managed to play tracks that sit on the deeper spectrum, while still maintaining a bit of groove.” He highlights three producers featured in the set: @ronobv : “Re-Seda, one of my favourite deep house tunes. Deep, groovy, sexy, it doesn’t get better than that.” @nizar_sarakbi : “His remix of Dial It Up. Groovy, a bit serious, but not too serious.” @joseftumari : “A breath of fresh air. The 6th edition of @butik_emf is behind us, and personally, I feel it was the best one so far. I’d like to take a moment to show appreciation to our team, who worked their asses off to make everything happen. It wasn’t easy working long hours, but being surrounded by such a super team made it a lot easier. ❤️ Even though I wasn’t on the dance floor much—something we have to sacrifice a bit while organizing the festival—I felt the quality of the sets this year was extremely high. Massive respect to all the DJs for sharing their craft with us, and especially to our Slovenian artists, who are making more and more noise each year. 🔥 Last but not least, big up to @mynameisromina , @gaspersovdat , @bls_wrld & @dvidevat for making and sharing this journey with me. 💪🏻 Somewhere along the weekend, I also managed to play some music at the Garden stage. Starting off the night we have DJ and producer, @alexranerro making his debut in Amsterdam 🔊 Alex is known for many things like being the founder of @solvd.music playing monthly at Klub K4 in Ljubljana and being behind the scenes handling the bookings for the famous Butik Festival. Few months back, @nathanalzondj asked me if I want to participate in a special project that he’d organize throught his label, @tapioca.recordings . The idea was to create a VA with several tracks where all funds generated will go to organization supporting Gaza (collaboration with Doctors Without Borders in the Netherlands - Artsen Zonder Genzen). As I feel this is very important to me, I was immediately up for it. Last week we headed to Berlin to also do a Hor set which raised a little bit more publicity about the project. All in all, before the VA sees the light of the day (in the following days), I’ve decided to put these clips online as well, cause why not. :)
