Less, But Better: Design That Achieves More
We are honored to be part of this exhibition.
This exhibition focuses on the classic works of Rams, presenting the complete trajectory and profound influence of his design philosophy through horizontal comparison and vertical tracing.
Exhibited works include: those by Apple‘s Chief Design Officer Jony Ive, who integrated Rams into the digital age, reshaping the design language of consumer electronics with integrated materials and seamless forms; works by Japanese design master Naoto Fukasawa, known for his “unconscious design”; and works by B&O designer David Lewis.
“Less”represents a return to essence after stripping away superficiality; “better”represents the ultimate pursuit of function, texture, and humanity. This exhibition is both a design dialogue across time and space and a testament to the enduring power of “Less, But Better”as the foundation of modern industrial design.
- The exhibition will run until August 31, 2026.

The Hamburg-based Braun expert Hartmut Jatzke-Wigand was also present at the 2026 edition of the Braun+Design fair in Kronberg last Saturday. He is running the website signundtext.com with many valuable articles by him and also with contributions by the late Braun collector and expert Jo Klatt with whom Jatzke-Wigand collaborated for many years. We recommend the extensive interview that both conducted with Dr. Fritz Eichler, a few weeks before he died in 1991. It's on the website. Concept, design and realisation of the website was done by gugelot gmbh / @guusgugelot | Portrait: Cassandra Peters @pd.rkive@ramsfoundation #jatzkewigand #joklatt #gugelot

A new article by @gerritterstiege can be found in the Magazine section of our website (link in bio) as part of our series focussing on long-lasting products. This time we give you details of the desk mat Area that has been in use in the personal studio of Dieter Rams for decades. We spoke with its designer Prof. Kuno Prey @kunoprey and learnt quite a bit! We would like to thank Mr. Prey for his time and efforts and also the Frankfurt-based photographer Dieter Schwer for allowing us to use his photo of the desk mat. | Photo: @dieschwer #ramsfoundation #dieterrams #areadeskmat #tischunterlage

Beautifully reduced cover of a booklet presenting the range of new Braun products in 1958. Even if there were not that many yet, they were already formally coherent in their clarity and simplicity. @braun_global #braunwerbung #braunprodukte #braunbroschüre #braunbooklet #1958
