The reel is live for 2024. Many thanks to all the collaborators, brands and artists that have trusted the vision and made this body of work possible. Looking back on the growth through out the years leaves me inspired for what will come next. #3dmotiondesign #artdirection #c4d #sidefxhoudini #adobe

A big shout out to @shadownut.studio for working with me on bring this website to life for both desktop and mobile. It’s crazy how difficult it still is to get videos to work on mobile sites in the age of multiple video platforms constantly streaming on our devices. But shadownut knows how to navigate the intricacies of @squarespace like no other. If you are in need of a sleek site hit her up and tell her Rad sent you. #webdevelopment #webinspiration #3ddesign #3dmotiongraphics #squarespace

Here’s a collection of sample generations from the latest project. Most are generated with Wan 2.1, some with Kling 2.0 and some with Seedance. All through @krea_ai I find Wan 2.1 with its ability to let you prompt with beginning and end frames as the most useful. While Kling would go overkill and make dramatic generations. My initial prompts were loose and vague as I was curious to see what AI thinks it should generate. Unhappy with most of the results I went in and became way more specific yet the results felt just the same. There are many many many more of these, but let me save you the time and around 50 bucks to just highlight a few. Remember each of these rejects cost real money. Don’t let artists who have unlimited access through connections let you think this is not wasteful. I’m not even considering the climate implications of this. I think the concept speaks to that. Final slide: The great Gary Larson succinctly captures the feels. #Ai #3DandAi #3Dpoetry #motiondesignerscommunity #3dflowers #garylarson

Here’s are my top generative Ai renders primarily using the Wan 2.1 video model with through @krea_ai There are about 100 more versions that didn’t make the cut. I’ll share some of those in an upcoming process post. Each of these versions was a dice roll. This selection is fine, I guess, but lacks a nuance, and a general energy I was hoping to capture. I don’t feel anything. It leaves me underwhelmed and questioning the process. Questioning myself. Am I doing this wrong? Do I have to dive in deeper to get the results I want? Do I have to spend more money on credits? This feels oddly like gambling. Most of these feelings are because I can’t control what is going on. It drives me nuts for a couple of reasons: 1. First and foremost is the existential drama of it all. It removes me from the process. I truly and deeply enjoy the craft of animation and simulation. Sure Ai is just a tool but a tool that doesn’t just streamline steps, it cuts corners without much of a way of going back to refine. 2. Motion wise it seems to be modeled on generic aesthetics that opt for derivative and un-inspired motions. 3. The physics are weird and “flighty” 4. And frankly, I don't want to become a prompt engineer. But it’s not all bad - just mostly meh. It’s great for performing rote tasks like making more detailed textures, putting together quick concepts and moodboard images, and versioning different framing and framerate outputs and working in scale. I’m trying to remain optimistic. I’ll keep exploring different methods of introducing it to my workflow once it feels right, but for now I’m honestly not enjoying it. #Ai #3DandAi #3Dpoetry #motiondesignerscommunity

How life is feeling like lately. Quick snippet of some AI explorations using my 3D renders. I’ll give a more in depth analysis of my thoughts and process in an upcoming posts but in all honesty the vibes are not good fam. #3dmeetsai #kreaai #3dpoetry #c4d #redshift
