I’ve been a bit inactive lately because I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired with art recently and I’ve been trying to read more and write a bit instead to get the creative juices flowing and learn a bit more about the world. Ever since she was a little girl, Alara had been entranced by the luminous butterflies that fluttered through the solar gardens of her floating city. She remembers the hush that fell over the greenhouse each time their fragile wings caught the sunlight, and how her mother would gently set them on her fingertips. But as the city expanded, those precious visitors began to disappear. She searched in overgrown ravines and dusty corners of abandoned eco-labs, finding only brittle cocoons and faded sketches in old journals. Every loss felt like a crack forming in her own heart, as though the butterflies’ dwindling presence stole a piece of her hope for the future.
Desperate to save them, Alara poured every ounce of her spirit into creating a sanctuary that harnessed the city’s abundant solar power to replicate the warm meadows of centuries past. She scoured ancient research and adapted advanced pollination algorithms, forging a delicate harmony between nature and technology. Finally, one dawn, she spotted a single butterfly dancing near a sun-lily she had painstakingly cultivated from an extinct seed. It was a small spark of life against the backdrop of towering steel structures—a defiant heartbeat in a world that had nearly forgotten how to flutter. In that moment, as the butterfly alighted on her hand, Alara realized she wasn’t just fighting to preserve an insect. She was fighting for a kinder, more compassionate future for everyone.
