This was me in my Tactical Santa era πŸŽ…πŸ½ this was not the only production for which I was tasked with making tactical Santa and elf gear around this time. The BTS content myself and @katie_kahn_705 captured will leave you STUNNED: Pattern pieces! Swatches! Weft interfacing! I will say the Rock's outfit for this was a super complicated build the jacket alone had over 100 pattern pieces with interchangeable sleeves and there were graded multiples for stunts, stand-ins, etc. (see pics 4 & 5) We also didn't have all the materials at once so cutting and building what we could with what we had and keeping track of whose was whose was an organizational feat that I really thrive on 😈 Had a lot of fun with this team we were laughing every day and everyone did such a great job!

I got this last year, I wasn't going to post it but let's be real what WAS going to post? Nothing. I only helped out on this show I left and went to Skeleton Crew. A lot of amazing people worked really really hard on this and truly deserve this award! I also wasn't a draper I didn't sew a single thing I was only making patterns but that's fine haha. The only character I remember I worked on was Sabine I repatterned her orange shirt and did a bunch of stunt grading. But I've definitely done my time on the prison planet so if you can get an Emmy for making costumes for the galaxy far far away consistently for 7+ years then I'll take it! Also my dad had it made into a shirt πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸ»

Did anyone see this? I certainly didn't. I did make a bunch of stuff for it and the workroom was stellar I met some great people who I still work with now! I don't even remember everything I made it was a blur of quilted tunics, asymmetrical linen shirts, and little uncooperative pieces of gack, but I do remember I made tons of these jumpsuits, maybe every single one or nearly every one? At least 8 of them. Same with these jackets everyone did their time making these quilted corduroy and leather jackets in all sizes. I guess lots of characters wore them and also they apparently got real dirty which means many many multiples! Last pic is the only one I took!

@bridgetbjames Continuing the theme of "Comedians are the best" I love working with Nikki Glaser she is so hilarious and fun to work with. I did all her tailoring for this year's golden globes with stylists @daniandemmastyle visit their profile for all the best photos! Working on stuff in the green room while she was running her material I was laughing out loud so hard I wish every joke made it in! I wish every gown made it in she had so many great ones! But she has me going every fitting I love it. The sparkly blazer was tear-away and we recreated Nicole Kidman's AMC commercial jumpsuit! Not Paris Hilton accidentally posting me πŸ˜‚ unreal

@bridgetbjames "I want to see photos of your costumes you never post anything and you actually have cool things to post" Here is my favorite job I've done to date! Mel Brooks History of the World part II! I worked with my favorite designer @patternattack and made a million period costumes with my GOAT best work and IRL bud @katie_kahn_705 . This job hit the sweet spot for me of making serious historically accurate clothing for the goofiest dumbest shit! Working with comedians is the best, all the fittings we cried from laughing and I got to go to Danny Devitos house! 2-5 This sketch was the desperate concubines of Kublai Khan. I did so much research on medieval Mongolian clothing I still get emails from Russian J-stor about Mongolian stuff 6-7 We recreated this Shirley Chisholm outfit that also had an elaborate tear-away version that reveals a sparkly bell bottom jumpsuit for a James Brown number 8 Josh Gad as Shakespeare had us DYING IRL. His screaming enthusiasm for his giant trunk hose was the reaction I want from everyone for whom I make something haha 9-11 A big part of my career is occasionally making dresses for Dove Cameron for whatever reason. This one had lots of multiples and a stunt version to be worn under a massive coat that covered 4 stunt people stacked on one another 12 @katie_kahn_705 with that coat! 13 Jack Black as Stalin! Once again lots of research! I made the apron lol! 14-16 We made so many biblical robes, it was the thing we made the most of. Way harder and heavier than they look!

Baby's first billboard! Most of the credit for these two costumes goes to @katie_kahn_666 and @anachronisminaction but I am proud of all the dope ass costumes we made for this show! Spotted on Fletcher in Atwater.

I know so much is going around and different things speak to us in our own way. I read a lot and listen a lot about the systemic injustices in our society, and I will never stop. Sometimes I think I've heard all the messages and read the articles and I get it. This resonated very deeply with me and maybe it could with you as well. This message is a gift from @janayathefuture that I'm not sure we even deserve, but I hope some of my people will accept it.

I'm never allowed to take pictures or post about my job but I'm finally telling the internet, I had my childhood dream job making Star Wars costumes!! It was so fun and challenging and crazy and I am so lucky! I got to work with the best team anyone could ask for and I am so proud of what we achieved! #starwars #themandalorian #costumes #sewing #patternmaking #cutterfitter #starwarscostumes #dreamjob
