This costume! She had a journey…the fittings started…the coral dress was the front runner, had a side step to the sea foam, made a stop as a dreamy white Carolina Herrera who became a favorite BUT I couldn’t let her be, the essence was off, so I circled the shops downtown and found this fabric..which is so synthetic that it stood up to the pacific unharmed. My amazing cutter/fitter @quesada_heat worked around the clock to bring her to life just in time for camera. Watch #roarappletv to see the magical end result. I miss hugs and the people we love. In the words of Ms. Mariah “all I want for Christmas is you” hope to hug everyone soon, until then Merry Happy and stay safe.
I designed @moonbase8 with this rad crew. They took amazing care of the actors in hot ass moonsuits in triple digit CA weather @wolfofwhatstreet made space X suits with a cricket crafting printer and @burgerfries took endless photos to document their love for each other. I’m not in this picture cause I was designing 2 other shows. I can do that because of these people (and many others) always have my back. Working in covid is so tricky! I miss hugs and pictures where we can sit next to each other. Stay safe!
Happy Birthday Sissy! I’m so happy to be along for the ride. This 4th year as been full of surprises; you have discovered your love for cutting your own hair, have continued to love PB & J sandwiches more than anyone alive and reinvented ways of sneaking into our bed at night all while drawing on everything in your room. As a teen in St. Louis I went to Six flags A LOT. There were always couples in matching outfits who would walk around with a hand in each other’s back pocket. It was/is my relationship goals. Thanks @sanfordmusicdotcom for playing along.
