A painting I made newly pregnant. Anne Brigmans photos really spoke to me at the time. A naturalist who was part of California’s women’s suffrage. She separated from her husband, after experiencing freedom from her domestic life on a 10 month solo trip to manhattan. It’s funny that I painted it as I yearned for a more domestic life, as a mom. #annebrigman
