78 years since the Nakba.
78 years of genocide, occupation, apartheid and ethnic cleansing.
In 1948, more than 750,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes during the Nakba (“catastrophe”), and hundreds of villages were destroyed.
Today, millions of Palestinians continue to live under military occupation, siege, exile, dispossession, and systemic terror from Gaza, to occupied Palestinian territories and across the diaspora.
🗝️ As people mobilise across the world, we gather to honour the lives lost, stand with the resilience of the Palestinian people, and demand justice, accountability, the right of return, and an end to Israeli impunity.
✊🏽 Tomorrow, Friday 15 May, join the global day of action for Palestine.

May 12-16 2026 in Vienna, israel will attempt to whitewash its image before audiences around the world as a participant in the Eurovision Song Contest. Less than two weeks ago, it was committing crimes in European waters.
While accelerating its genocide in Palestine and Lebanon and waging aggression across the region, israel abducted and brutalized 181 members of the Global Sumud Flotilla crew in Greek territorial waters, kidnapping and imprisoning two members-one of whom is European.
israel must be isolated.
#BoycottEurovision
Join us on Tuesday 12 May 2026 at 6 pm in front of the CyBC building in Aglandja to protest Israel’s participation in Eurovision 2026.
On that very same day, Israel’s candidate will be performing at the Eurovision semi-finals in Vienna.
By allowing Israel to participate, Eurovision is whitewashing and normalizing Israel’s genocide, siege and brutal military occupation against Palestinians.
We call for Israel to be banned from Eurovision!

Every donation goes towards covering the costs of the event and fundraising for United by Pride.
Israel is continuing its genocide in Palestine and expanding its bombing and land grab in Lebanon and the region. Western institutions are watching and doing nothing. The EBU banned Russia after Ukraine. It calls itself non-political when it comes to Israel. That is not neutrality. That is a choice.
As queer people we refuse to be used as cover. Israel pinkwashes its apartheid and genocide by pointing to its LGBTQ+ record. Eurovision is part of that stage. Queer liberation has never been and will never be separate from the liberation of all oppressed people. Not in our name! We are choosing to boycott!

Στις 5 Απριλίου, 11 οργανώσεις της κοινωνίας των πολιτών, μεταξύ των οποίων οι BDS Cyprus, United for Palestine Nicosia, Cyprus Peace Council, NEDA, Genocide Free Cyprus, Far Right Watch, Cyprus Palestine Solidarity Action, Queer Collective, Accept-LGBTI Cyprus και AFOA, απέστειλαν επιστολή ζητώντας από το ΡΙΚ να υποστηρίξει εντός της EBU την πραγματοποίηση επίσημης επανεξέτασης του KAN σε σχέση με τη Eurovision 2026 και τον αποκλεισμό του με βάση τα ίδια κριτήρια που εφαρμόστηκαν στη Ρωσία το 2022.

Queer Collective spoke to Policypress about the expansion of its community-recommended directory, as gaps in LGBTQIA+ healthcare access in Cyprus come into sharper focus.
The initiative highlights structural shortcomings in service provision, information accessibility and inclusive care within the health system.
It underscores how community-led efforts are stepping in to address institutional gaps while pushing for more accountable and equitable health governance.
