It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the passing of Sion Assidon, one of the founders of the Boycott Movement (BDS) in Morocco, a courageous voice who carried the cause of Palestine in his heart until his very last breath.

Art must never be used to whitewash war crimes and conceal the slaughter of civilians.
For years, the Cypriot government has continued to deepen its military, economic and political ties with ‘I$rael’, actively contributing to the normalisation of their settler-col_nial scheme.
The price of this complicity is measured in blood: the blood of Palestinian families massacred in Gaza, of children pulled lifeless from beneath collapsed buildings, of journalists, medics, and aid workers deliberately targeted, and of civilians across Lebanon and the wider region forced to live under the constant threat of bombardment, invasion, and destruction.
Every new military agreement, every joint exercise, every act of political normalisation sends a message that these lives are expendable.
Join us on Tuesday 12 May 2026 at 6 pm in front of the CyBC building in Aglandja to protest Israel’s participation in Eurovision 2026.
On that very same day, Israel’s candidate will be performing at the Eurovision semi-finals in Vienna.
By allowing Israel to participate, Eurovision is whitewashing and normalizing Israel’s genocide, siege and brutal military occupation against Palestinians.
We call for Israel to be banned from Eurovision!

78 years of genocide, occupation, apartheid and ethnic cleansing.
In 1948, more than 750,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes during the Nakba (“catastrophe”), and hundreds of villages were destroyed.
Today, millions of Palestinians continue to live under military occupation, siege, exile, dispossession, and systemic terror from Gaza, to occupied Palestinian territories and across the diaspora.
🗝️ As people mobilise across the world, we gather to honour the lives lost, stand with the resilience of the Palestinian people, and demand justice, accountability, the right of return, and an end to Israeli impunity.

While detained illegally by the Israeli regime, Saif has faced death threats, threats against his family, prolonged stress positions so severe he required oxygen, violent transfers, and relentless interrogation. He has now entered a dry hunger strike.
The governments of Spain, Brazil, and Sweden must act immediately to protect their citizens and demand their release. The world must act to uphold international law, justice, and basic humanity.
