This is a very special and immersive opportunity that is in conjunction with the exhibition “Do You Have Papers?” @madellinevice Here we are collaborating with @johanacan16 who will be presenting us with their personal archive project, showcasing family photos and how to document memory in a living archive.
We will also be joined by @quebishop who is an informative speaker on the fundamentals of archiving your work as an artist. He will be taking the time to answer our questions about archives and his upcoming workshop, Artist Archive Development Workshop.

To know me is know I love Hip-Hop. And to know that is know that Blu is in my top 5, my favorite emcee. And Exile is a driving force on why I enjoy making beats.
When I graduated from high school, I didn’t really have much direction in what I wanted to do with my life, Below the Heavens acted as the soundtrack of me working nights, starting college, finding my way. Years later, they still are the soundtrack but now I have a better understanding of my purpose. Lesson learned from listening to them is finding light through the storm. Grateful for them and for the night. My heart is full.

Saturday, May 9th at 7PM, @box13artspace will be holding our event Empty Box, where members, along with past alumni and community artists, will be auctioning off art work in support of the organization. For me, being a member there has been a beneficial experience in fostering community and developing my practice.

As an artist and archivist Pace recognizes the long-term importance of artists being able to properly archive their work, practice, and art career. Through The Idea Fund, Pace will create a series of workshops to share basic archival fundamentals with artists to better organize and document the history of their work.
