next sunday, march 29 at 2-5 pm, join us at @binch.press / @queerarchivework for SEARCH METHODS, a workshop on re/search methods and gathering resources for reference, led by Vic Xu, MJ Sanqui, Bao Vu, and Eden Tai.
in this 3-hour workshop participants will bring any item– a page from a book, a piece of their own writing, an archival image, a trinket, an artwork– and situate it within the context of a physical queer archive. we will discuss our personal relationships to research, gathering references, and saving archival materials as artists, and offer tools for honing intentionality in our practices of searching and saving. walk away with a physical document of your play time with the archive. this workshop is great for any qtbipoc person looking to experiment with creatively building context around an idea or work. you don’t need to be an artist or writer!
