Named for Cecilia Gentili, activist, mother of the movement, icon, who shaped this law and dedicated her life to the community and movement.
Tag your elected officials to let them know their constituents support us 🌻
The next lobby day is May 20th with @ashnewyorkstate Coalition, fighting for harm reduction. If you’re in New York and want to come find more info at @ashnewyorkstate .

I invested so much in my virtual qigong studio partly because it’s work that I can do from anywhere in the world. It’s so satisfying to see the dream in action. I taught classes from Lisbon and Orvieto this week! And got to share fresh ideas I had from traveling.
Being in transit always unlocks parts of me, and now I get to share that through my studio 🤍
Reminder that Monday classes are free and open 7amPT/ 10 am ET. The full membership includes on demand classes and bonus meditations and workshops 🥂
A magic moment from “Infinitesimal Finitude” collection by @k__zao at Port Fashion Show. Bao Vu is a brilliant and whimsical designer based in Providence, RI making exceptionally queer clothing. It was an honor to walk in this show 🤍Hair by my sisterrrr @qqcuts
This is the largest tufted work I’ve created to date and is inspired by the antique decorative tiles of Taiwan that once adorned homes to communicate a family’s identity and status.
Since I was a kid, discovering my immigrant family’s past has felt like an extended mystery, with
clues dropping in along my path that allow me to make more sense of my cosmology.
Last time I was traveling in Taiwan my friend Gin (@liuyu.tea ) helped me piece together meaning from an old photograph of my family’s village home. In the photograph, faded and broken tiles line the doorway of a decaying facade, a detail that, for me, had always been blurred beneath an overall sense of loss and neglect. When Gin saw the photo she told me of the importance of the tiles’ symbols in communicating a family’s trade, status, value, lore, and shared a book with me from
a museum in Taiwan dedicated to collecting and preserving these decorative artifacts.
I selected a tile from this archival collection as the inspiration for this textile piece. Over the
course of a year as I threaded my tufting gun hundreds of times with recycled yarns and
precious wools, I imagined weaving myself closer to my grandmother, bridging the gap between
us with a visual language legible to us both, bringing a piece of her homeland and impressing it
upon our shared future like I watched her do every time she would come back to the States,
smuggling seeds from her beloved Taiwan and planting them in her suburban backyard garden
in Richmond, Virginia.
As the piece evolved, so did my studies in Chinese Medicine. Nearing the final months of creation I began to integrate the 5 seasons and elements, transitioning in phases around the central heart motif.
Last month to see his piece installed at @knglibrary_ny made possible by @opositivefest
