Let's support Binch Press X Queer Archive Work! 🌈🌈🌈 All through June and July, White Electric Coffee Co-op will be donating ten percent of proceeds from *summer* drink specials to the collaborative efforts of @binch.press & @queerarchivework Follow, see link in bio & website, and read below to learn more, get involved, and donate directly to support the community work of Binch Press X Queer Archive Work! AND June will begin our new summer drink specials..... drumroll plz....well not quite menu drop, but some hints of flavors involved: mango habañero 🥭🌶️ coconut orange chocolate 🥥🍊🍫 strawberry pickle 🍓🥒 dragonfruit 🐉 blueberry pie 🫐 watermelon matcha 🍉 Ummm, yum! Hope you enjoy & thanks for your solidarity 🧡 From BP x QAW : Binch Press / Queer.Archive.Work is a non-profit archive, artist collective, cooperative print & publishing studio on occupied Narragansett land, in Providence, RI. The studio is a Queer / Trans community space and library of zines, books, and objects, collectively operated by its dedicated membership. We collect and house an archive of printed matter by and for queer / trans people, host events and workshops, produce collective publications, print propaganda, and offer access to printing and bookbinding equipment.  In early May, we were notified that the National Endowment for the Arts was abruptly withdrawing a $15,000 grant intended to support our studio. We are among many other organizations who received this notice, and while it did not come as a surprise, we are nonetheless devastated. For an organization as small as ours, $15,000 would have been transformative. We wrote this grant to support hiring our first paid staff position, and to onboard new members, which we have been unable to do in a year because of limited budget and capacity.  If you care about what we do, we hope you’ll consider supporting us with a donation. Our goal is to recoup this $15,000 through donations and fundraising events throughout the summer. Come visit us this June for Open Library Hours on Sunday June 1st and June 15th, 12-3pm. the third volume of my mycological minizine, FUNGUS PICTURES is here! coming soon as part of the @binch.press / @queerarchivework community supported art summer share, and also will be available on my webstore justrightzines.com this week 🍄💜🍄 insert text: “hello! you are holding the 3rd volume of my ongoing 2-sided* mycological minizine, FUNGUS PICTURES! this project has been a really fun way to share my love of fungus through drawings I’ve made (both oberservational & fantastical) and photos I’ve taken! all of mushrooms on the photographic side of the zine I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in the woods, parks, and urban ecosystems around PVD. I’ve done my best to accurately identify them, but getting to know the seemingly infinite species/subspecies of fungus out there is an imperfect process, so if you have a ID correction please feel free to drop me a line! I hope you enjoy the zine and feel inspired to go out on your own forays and make friends and be inspired by all the wild and wacky fungi out in the world!! <3 jules *for guidance on flipping to other side of the zine/refolding follow the steps on the other side of this lil sheet!”

We have some disappointing news to share with you all. On Friday evening, we were notified that the National Endowment for the Arts was abruptly withdrawing a $15,000 grant intended to support Binch Press / Queer.Archive.Work. We are among many other organizations who received this notice, and while it did not come as a surprise, we are nonetheless devastated. For an organization as small as ours, $15,000 would have been transformative. We wrote this grant to support hiring our first paid staff position, and to onboard new members, which we have been unable to do in over a year because of limited budget and capacity. While we are upset that our largest-ever grant award has been rescinded, we’re still committed to maintaining our library and studio for queer, radical, experimental printmaking and publishing. We believe in the power of print, and we are not going anywhere. If you care about what we do, too, we hope you’ll consider supporting us with a donation (link in bio), by sharing this statement, joining us for Open Library Hours, and staying tuned for more opportunities to ensure our cooperative studio remains viable. Lastly, this is just one of thousands of attacks from the Trump regime against the life and culture of queer and trans people, immigrants, people of color, and Palestinians. Our only hope for combating this wave of terror and systemic neglect is getting organized. Above all else, we urge you—especially artists and cultural workers—to recommit yourself to the struggle. Put your time and energy into supporting local organizations, mutual aid projects, and unions. And remember, we fight to win because as Fannie Lou Hamer said, “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free.”
