Weโ€™re delighted to share with you another open call opportunity during @l_d_f_official LDF2026! We invite artists attentive to the hidden lives of materials to apply for Enchanted Matter, an exhibition co-curated by Qloud Collective and SustainLab RCA @sustainlabrca Inspired by Jane Bennettโ€™s Vibrant Matter, the exhibition explores enchantment as a way of paying attention - noticing the often unseen relationships between things. In ecosystems shaped through exchange and entanglement, organic, synthetic and waste materials circulate across environments, carrying qualities and consequences far beyond their original context. We are looking for works that engage with: ๐ŸŒฑCirculation โ€” movement of matter and energy ๐ŸŒฑTransmission โ€” how materials carry and impart qualities across environments ๐ŸŒฑAfterlives โ€” what happens to materials over time ๐ŸŒฑEntanglement โ€” connections between systems, bodies and ecologies Material choices and processes are part of the work. Artists are asked to reflect on sourcing, transformation, reuse and the longer life of their materials as part of their application. This exhibition marks Sustainlab RCAโ€™s first collaboration beyond the Royal College of Art, initiated through an alumni connection with Qloud Collective, founded by Alumna Dana Goh. โญ๏ธOpen to all artists and designers beyond RCA and is NOT exclusive to RCA alumni/students โญ๏ธMore information in our Bio @qloud_collective There is a ยฃ10 submission fee per work to support exhibition production, operations and promotion. What if identity were not fixed, but in constant evolution? What if you woke up one morning slightly different from the day before? What if dreams merged with reality? Once I Dreamt I Was Something Else is a part of the AMADEUS Festivalโ€™s @amadeusfestival wider exploration of Metamorphosis. Taking transformation as its starting point, the exhibition explores how identity, perception, and reality remain in constant movement. Through the notions of translation and shifting perspectives, the self appears not as something stable, but as something continuously moving. The works brought together explore how perception and identity oscillate, remaining fluid and metamorphic rather than fixed or absolute. In this sense, the exhibition echoes the festivalโ€™s broader theme: transformation not as a singular moment, but as an ongoing process, constantly unfolding. Qloud Collective is proud to bring together an international line-up of talented artists in this group exhibition. @john.huw.davies @nickymacneilpainting @aiirisu_iris @benhtwilsonart @jacobkasar @_studiocell @chocoart_maya @charliechesterman @oliviajoungstudio poster by @danachang.art abstract from text by @vagabonde.stud

Last week, part of our Qloud team visited Charlotte Mooreโ€™s studio ahead of Flora in Alloy - getting an intimate glimpse into the material language of their works. During the visit, Charlotte and Marisa spoke about the expansion beyond the object itself, allowing it to exist within and respond to the wider world around it. The studio became an extension of this dialogue: where material and environment continuously shape one another. Flora in Alloy invites audiences into the extended experience of the work beyond the boundaries of the object, into a space where the work continues beyond the exhibition. Join us tomorrow for the opening of Flora in Alloy ๐ŸŒธ ๐Ÿ“65a Charlotte Street, W1T 4PQ ๐Ÿฅ‚ Opening at 6-9PM We look forward to welcoming you! @charlotte.l.moore @marisamusing

Flora in Alloy positions the exhibition in a space of material and symbolic hybridisation where forms exist in a continuous process of becoming. An alloy is never a singular material but rather a merging of relational elements, altering each component while traces of their origins remain. Similarly, the works within the exhibition occupy the shifting space between organic growth and constructed form. Here, hybridised flora and metaphytic studies form new living morphologies through sculpture. The work of Charlotte Moore and Marisa Mรผsing merges mediums, unsettling the boundary between two disparate materials: unglazed stoneware ceramic, and brassed steel and bronze. Employing the surrealist technique of the Exquisite Corpse Game, Mรผsing and Moore develop a honeyed dialogue between these mediums. The result is a narrative in which synthesised otherness shimmers and transforms between the raw earthen nature of clay and the artificial sleekness of metal. These morphologies evoke delicate, composite networks in constant evolution, transporting us into the uncanny imaginative world in author Mercรจ Rodoredaโ€™s novel Journeys and Flowers, to which the artists pay homage. Rodoredaโ€™s writing describes resilient flowers charged with symbolic force and magical realism, imbued with fragility, memory and survival. Within her text, nature โ€“ and in particular the plant world โ€“ becomes a vivid site of intoxicating ultra-enchantment and oneiric transformation through which personal trauma is reconfigured. Mรผsing and Mooreโ€™s flowers inhabit this same imaginative yet darkening tension, where dreamlike forms arise from embedded narratives. By sculpting unexpected encounters, the exhibition relays not simply a fabulated image of our natural world, but an image-world that is vibrant, precariously balanced and relational. Come join us at our very first Duo show! Tutu @tutu___________________ is a London-based artist and sculptor, originally from Izmir, Turkey. She completed her studies at Michigan State University, earning degrees in Studio Arts and Marketing. She is currently a participant in an independent art education collective (MYOM), where she continues to develop new bodies of work through advanced research and experimentation. Her practice is rooted in exploring identity and the human psyche, focusing on the tensions between internal states and external pressures, fragility and materiality. Beyond formal concerns, she approaches material as a terrain for emotional inquiry. Guided by an ongoing engagement with the layered complexity of being human, her work questions duality, treating apparent opposites as different expressions of the same reality. Through processes of refinement and reorganisation, she seeks the possibility of restoration, illuminating the subtle spaces where transformation can occur. Edited by Alison Lo

Lydia @lydialottart is a multimedia artist whose work explores the intersubjective notion of โ€œrealnessโ€. Drawing on Baudrillardโ€™s ideas of simulacra and phenomenological frameworks, their practice engages with fleeting instances where realness announces itself, seeking to strip off the semiotic veneers that obscure human experience. At other times, they turns towards the seemingly โ€œdistinct unrealโ€, spaces that are hostile to and forgetful of the soft, painful, and vulnerable reality of being human. Across their works, there is a continual effort to illuminate and soften the facades of corporate and technological aesthetics. Their practice manifests an interplay between analogue and digital, soft and hard, minimalism and maximalism, lo-fi and polished. In Configuring Connection(s), an erotic poem assembled from fragments of an Apple instruction manual is etched into the body of a MacBook, revealing a latent sensuality within the language of utility. By treating the brand as a technological โ€œwhite cube,โ€ Lydia foregrounds the physical and material bodies, both human and machinic, that are obscured by the ostensibly asensorial digital, complicating the unblemished veneer of contemporary tech culture.
