What stayed from @artbasel Qatar wasn’t just how art brings people together, but how it lived across every part of the experience.
Designed by Bouthayna Al Muftah (@b_almuftah ) in collaboration with @qcplus.qa , the official Art Basel Qatar uniform became part of that, moving through the space, carried by real people.
Drawing from her installation, the designs reimagined the traditional thobe and daraa. Rooted in elements of local culture and shaped through a contemporary lens, the piece reflected how Qatar brings local perspectives into a wider, global conversation, not held apart, but lived as a shared experience.
At Art Basel Hong Kong, the Qatar Creates Lounge became a meeting point for conversations across cultures.

Bouthayna Al Muftah, one of Doha’s leading contemporary artists, reimagines the traditional Thobe and Daraa in collaboration with QC+, creating the official uniform for Art Basel Qatar. The designs draw from her exclusive ABQ installation at al markhiya gallery exploring heritage as a source of continuity, inspiration, and renewal.
التراثُ كقوةٌ نابضةٌ بالحياة—لا أثرًا حبيسَ الماضي، بل روحًا تُلهمُ القادم.
تُعيدُ بثينة المفتاح، إحدى أبرز فنانات الدوحة المعاصرات، ابتكار الثوب والدراعة التقليديين بالتعاون مع كيو سي بلس، لتُبدع الزيَّ الرسميَّ لمعرض آرت بازل قطر.
وتستقي هذه التصاميمُ إلهامَها من عملها الفني التركيبي الحصري في جاليري المرخية، والذي يستكشف التراثَ بوصفه منبعًا للاستمرارية والإلهام والتجدد.
