لحظات فخر تاريخية بعد خمسة عشر عامًا من الصبر والعمل المتواصل، سعدنا اليوم بافتتاح أول مشاركة لدولة قطر في بينالي البندقية في الجيارديني، وقد دعونا الفنان ريركريت تيرافانيا لتصوّر هذا المشروع، مستندًا إلى ممارسته القائمة على التجارب التشاركية والتفاعلية ليجمعنا تحت هذه الخيمة. ويشارك في هذا العمل كل من الفنانة القطرية-الأمريكية صوفيا الماريا، والفنان اللبناني طارق عطوي، والفنانة الكويتية-البورتوريكية علياء فريد، والشيف الفلسطيني فادي قطان، إلى جانب مجموعة من المبدعين الذين سيُسهمون في تفعيل هذا الجناح.
Feeling so proud today after fifteen years of patience and resilience, we inaugurated Qatar’s first presentation at La Biennale di Venezia in the Giardini. To give it form, we invited Rirkrit Tiravanija — a master of communal, interactive experiences — bringing us together under the tent to imagine this exhibition. Joined by the Qatari-American artist Sophia Al-Maria, the Lebanese artist Tarek Atoui, the Kuwaiti–Puerto Rican artist Alia Farid, the Palestinian chef Fadi Kattan, and many more creatives who will be bringing life to this pavilion.

The new @LACMA building invites you to explore the encyclopedic collection, from Islamic Art to contemporary art — there’s something for all to learn and enjoy. The building introduces us to a new concept of seeing, a concrete building connecting the Wilshire Boulevard and bringing the rest of LA buildings together. Throughout history human beings made art as a means to engage and communicate— in today’s digital age art and creativity remind us to reflect on the essence of humanity.
