This narration demo is really personal to me ❤️ Each piece connects to a part of my life and how I’ve experienced the world, then and now. The first one is that home and lifestyle feel. It takes me right back to when I used to watch @hgtv . I love interior design, decor, and especially watching spaces transform. I even redesigned and renovated our main floor with ageing in place and universal design in mind so stepping into that style again… it felt familiar, almost like coming home. The second piece was inspired by a recent visit to the @spacecentreyvr and that sense of wonder you feel in storytelling like @natgeo where you’re not just hearing information… you’re being carried into something bigger. And then the third piece… this one sits really close to my heart. It’s narration layered with integrated audio description where storytelling and accessibility exist in the same breath. You’ll hear two voices moving together and I step in through description, not just to explain what’s there but to carry the emotion of the moment. Because as someone living with sight loss I know what it means to rely on those words. And I don’t just want people to understand what’s happening I want them to feel it… to be part of the experience. This is the kind of work I care about where voice creates connection, and access is part of the story. All scripts written by me. Grateful to my Narration teacher @dalewolfe_ @otmvoiceover , to Marie Ward @1marieward @otmvoiceover.toronto for directing this demo, and Jeff Wright @jeff_wright_recording for bringing it all together on the engineering side. Video Description in Comments 🎧 Narration + Audio Description Demo 🔗 purposeinview.com/voice-acting Rep: Brandi @allhearttalent Headshot: Ian @vancouverheadshotphotographer MUA: Amanda @amg_mua_ #VoiceActor #AudioDescription #NarrationDemo

Animation Demo! Animation was honestly something I never imagined I’d be doing! It felt really outside my comfort zone at first, and I wasn’t even sure if it was something I could step into. But as I started learning and playing with it, something shifted. I found myself having so much fun exploring different characters and stretching my voice in ways I hadn’t before—from really subtle moments to ones that are a little more unhinged 😂 This is my animation demo, and it reflects that range, that play, and everything I discovered along the way. Playful. Grounded. Unexpected. Characters range from a gentle forest guardian and a calm tactical leader, to a rule-keeping neighbor, and a chaotic, slightly malfunctioning invention. All scripts written by me. Grateful to my animation teachers, and especially to Krystal Meadows @otmvoiceover for directing this demo, and Jeff Wright @jeff_wright_recording for bringing it all together on the engineering side. Video Description in Comments I’d love to know—which voice stayed with you? 🎧 Animation & Character Demo 📩 Casting & collaborations: Open. When I was first diagnosed with vision loss, I felt deeply alone. I was searching for connection… for community. So I began sharing — in the hope of finding connection with others who might understand. What I didn’t expect… was that those stories would become a bridge. Through creating content that connects the sighted and visually impaired communities, I’ve met some of the most incredible people! And truly — community is the reason I’m here today. ❤️ To be named a Finalist for the @confluence.awards 2026 in the Education, Business & Tech category feels incredibly meaningful. Confluence represents the coming together of voices, identities, and lived experiences — and that is the heart of my work. Not just telling stories… but creating connection between worlds that don’t always meet. I’m deeply honoured to be included alongside so many creators across Canada who are shaping culture, building community, and creating impact in their own way. And in a full circle moment, I’m now finding my voice as a voice actor — with the hope of expanding accessibility through storytelling and audio description, and creating a ripple effect of change. Thank you to the Confluence Awards for this recognition, and wishing all the finalists the very best as we celebrate together on March 26! What started from a place of feeling alone… has become a place of connection. Video Description in Comments #ConfluenceAwards #CreatorsToWatch2026

There was a moment last year where I truly thought I had lost my voice. Not physically…but emotionally. 💔 I had just received news that my vision had significantly declined, and although life looked beautiful on the outside, inside I was struggling deeply. I was supposed to begin recording my audiobook around that time, but every time I listened back to my voice, I could hear the sadness in it. I wasn’t ready. Somewhere in that grief, I signed up for a one-month voice acting class thinking maybe voice coaching would help. Instead, it changed my life. What started as a small step toward healing became a summer of rediscovering joy, creativity, play, and parts of myself I thought had disappeared. I found myself laughing in the booth, doing silly character voices, studying scenes, and reconnecting with my inner child again. And eventually, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in the full-time program at @otmvoiceover Today, I received my diploma. But this year was never just about voice acting. It was about learning that sometimes when life takes something away, it can also guide you toward a new purpose you never saw coming. My dream is that one day my voice can help bring stories to life through audio description for the blind and visually impaired community. It feels like the most full-circle way to combine everything I’ve been building toward all along. And maybe one of the most meaningful parts of this journey… I’m finally working on recording my audiobook now. A year ago, I couldn’t do it because I could hear the heartbreak in my voice. Today, I can hear healing in it. Coming soon. 🎙️ Image Descriptions in Comments #VoiceActor #BlindStoryteller #AccessibilityMatters

There’s a difference between a treatment… and feeling truly cared for. From the moment I walked into Haven Holistic Care @aestheticswithyvonne , everything felt intentional. The warm lighting. The quiet. The gentle rhythm of Yvonne’s hands working on my skin while my whole body slowly softened into the table. As someone living with chronic pain and vision loss, moments where my nervous system truly relaxes are rare. But somewhere during this treatment, I felt myself let go. The before and after photos capture how much tension and fluid retention had been sitting in my face and the visible difference after Yvonne’s lymphatic-style facial massage work. But what stayed with me most was the feeling. After the session, Yvonne gently told me something that stopped me in my tracks - that my body felt like it had been living in survival mode. A truth I hadn’t fully realized but one that felt deeply true. And maybe that’s why I keep thinking that every woman deserves to experience this kind of care. The kind that reminds your body it is safe to rest. That’s also why I donated Yvonne’s Foundational Facial experience to the silent auction @motherhoodsummit in support of @girlinthewild — an organization creating spaces where girls can build confidence, connection, and a deeper sense of self through nature and community. Because care like this creates ripple effects. When women are supported, softened, and restored… it touches everything around them. So grateful to experience Yvonne’s work and support a beautiful local women-owned small business ❤️ Video Description in Comments #HavenHolisticCare #MotherhoodSupport #SupportLocalWomen

There is something really powerful about the way Anne shares her story… It doesn’t just invite you to listen, it invites you to feel, reflect, and see the world a little differently ✨ Anne Mok is a blind storyteller, voice actor, speaker, and mother of three who shares her journey of navigating vision loss with resilience and unwavering love. Through her voice and storytelling, she creates space for connection, inclusion, and deeper understanding—inviting others to see beyond limitations and into possibility. We asked Anne to share a little bit about her experience of motherhood… What surprised you most about motherhood? “Through the busy, full and sometimes overwhelming seasons - being present, love and connection matter far more than perfection. It's really reshaped the way I see the world - through their eyes.” What does your most empowered version of motherhood look like? “My most empowered version of motherhood looks like embracing every season with grace—showing my children what it means to adapt, to rise, and to keep going. It’s about leading with heart, staying present in the moments that matter, and trusting that even through change, love is what anchors us.” Mom guilt confession? “I am not built for pretend play. If you hand me dolls, I will sit there like… ‘what do we do now?’” 😂 Anne’s perspective is such a beautiful reminder that motherhood isn’t about perfect vision… it’s about presence, connection, and leading with heart. Anne has been part of YVR Creatives since day one, and we are so honoured to have her in our community and her voice in the room at the Motherhood Summit. 𝟴𝟱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺. ⁣ ⁣ Women who are leading, nurturing and becoming all at once and want to celebrate and connect with other leading moms. 🥳⁣ ⁣ And the women guiding the room are walking the walk⁣, ⁣ Keynote @thebodhieffect ⁣ ⁣ The Panel: @fdesign.mindfulbranding , @themodernmedium , @purposeinview , @ingoodcompany_media ⁣ Mindful Moment: @natassia_valli ⁣ ⁣ But I’ve heard a few untruths floating around that I have to clear up before you decide if one of the last spaces is for you. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 #𝟭: “I’m not an entrepreneur, so it’s probably not for me.”⁣ Nope.⁣ ⁣ This room is for women who; ⁣ ⁣ Care how they show up.⁣ Want to do life well (and sustainably).⁣ Are building a life that would make a younger version of them think,⁣ “Damn… she did that.”⁣ ⁣ 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 #𝟮: “It’s probably just for moms with little kids.”⁣ Also nope.⁣ ⁣ This is for women who are holding a lot.⁣ Your kids. Your career. Your parents. Your relationships. Your future.⁣ ⁣ You don’t get the luxury of tunnel vision… and you’re still showing up and leading your life.⁣ ⁣ That deserves to be celebrated, properly… with canapés and a fancy night out. 🥳⁣ ⁣ 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 #𝟯: “I don’t have my thing figured out yet.”⁣ Okay… this one?⁣ ⁣ I was in this space for so long and didn’t give myself permission to show up in spaces like this, but damn I wish I had. ⁣ ⁣ So here is your permission slip; ⁣ ⁣ You’re allowed to be in the in-between.⁣ You’re allowed to be figuring it out.⁣ You’re allowed to want more before you have all the answers.⁣ ⁣ There is nothing awkward about that.⁣ That is honest. That is brave.⁣ And the women in this room? They respect that.⁣ ⁣ Because this is where it starts.⁣ The conversations.⁣ The connections.⁣ ⁣ You'll be shocked how fast things shift when you surround yourself with the right people. ⁣ ⁣ So if something in you is saying, “I think I need to be there…”⁣ ⁣ Don’t overthink it.⁣ There are very few spaces left. ⁣ ⁣ This isn’t one to watch from the sidelines.⁣ You already know that.⁣ ⁣ Put yourself in this room.⁣ Christine

The Origin of Her” is one of the most meaningful experiences we’re creating inside the Motherhood Summit. We’re inviting attendees to share childhood photos, along with a few reflections… and with their permission, we’re turning them into a deeply personal, heart-opening activation that highlights the women in the room in the most beautiful way. Because this is how connection deepens. Not through surface-level conversation… but through being seen in your full story. We are counting down the sleeps until May 7th—because this isn’t your status quo networking event. Every detail has been intentionally curated so the moment you walk in, you feel it… Seen. Pampered. Celebrated. Deeply connected. 🥰 📍 May 7th | 5:30 PM 📍 Otter Trail Winery, Langley There are only 10 tickets remaining, and this room is going to feel like the exhale you didn’t know you needed. Comment summit and we’ll send you the link to join us.

April 🌷 felt like a shift for me… in small ways I didn’t expect. I walked into a packed space and stood in line for hours when I normally wouldn’t, and somehow it turned into time I got to share with my daughter. I took part in a robotic guide dog study. 🦮 And in the quiet of my vocal booth, I recorded my demos, working through each take and finding my voice along the way. 🎙️ And then there were all the in-between moments… family night at Food Truck Wars, a date day in a beautiful space with my husband, a warm salted caramel cookie in my hand that felt like a pause I needed. Walking through tulips right at their peak, stopping long enough to really take in how stunning they were, and being reminded of cherry blossoms in Japan this time last year. Some moments felt playful, like being @maanfarms , stepping into something that felt a little magical, holding a cotton candy dessert and just letting it be fun. And some moments felt more grounding, like walking through the tulip forest with a friend, catching up and sharing that space together. And then there was this beautiful moment that stayed with me - walking alongside my friend’s daughter and answering her questions and showing her how I use my white cane. Small and important moments. Maybe that’s what this month was… not everything figured out, but actually living through it. Becoming more open, more present, more willing to step into things I wouldn’t have before… and realizing I’m continue to grow in so many ways. Just sharing a little piece of what this month looked like for me ❤️ Image Descriptions in Comments #Becoming #BlindStoryteller #LifeWithVisionLoss

What if you experienced a tulip forest without relying on your eyes? 🌷 Some connections just stay with you. ✨ Jaclyn @northandloveco met two years ago at @thejillyacademy Academy in the City in Toronto. It’s amazing how you can meet someone once… and just know there’s something there. It was so great to meet up again as she visited BC. Laughing, sunshine and just slowing down and being present as we wandered @maanfarms Meeting her daughter made it even more special—and I love that she kept my husband happily occupied while we took it all in 😅 I’m learning that it’s not just about where you go… it’s how you experience it—and who you share it with. And that’s what stays with you. ❤️ If you’ve ever wanted to experience places a little differently… you’re in the right place here ✨ Video Description in Comments #MaanFarms #TulipFestival #PurposeInView

I’ve raised my kids in this city. Hockey rinks were a big part of our life—early mornings, cold arenas, a place that becomes like your second home. I had the opportunity to tour the @thecityofsurrey Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex with SALT (Surrey Accessibility Leadership Team) not just as an advocate…but as a mom who’s spent years in spaces like this. And what struck me most wasn’t one big feature— it was how much thought has gone into everyone’s experience. Whether you’re on the ice or watching from the stands… whether you move through the world with ease or with extra consideration…this space has been carefully and deliberately thought out. To remove barriers. To make things clearer. To make movement feel safer, more intuitive. Being invited to tour this space and share my lived experience meant so much—because this is how change happens. It’s not perfect and it’s not all at once. It’s step by step. Conversation by conversation. Design by design. This facility being @rickhansenfdn Gold Certified is a huge step. And it shows something even more important: We’re learning. We’re evolving. We’re moving toward spaces built with universal design—from the very beginning. And that… changes everything. What’s one thing you wish spaces like this did better?
