Introducing the Puppet Barge! It’s been my great pleasure to be the patron of this intriguing organisation for over 40 years.
I became involved in the first place to show support for a performing company with a difference. Their ambitious plan to buy a barge and turn it into a theatre was imaginative, a little crazy, and certainly appealed to my interests. The theatre is now run by the second and third generations of the family of puppeteers who started it, and needless to say times are tough in theatre and the arts as a whole.
Please consider joining me as a patron of this unique place by signing up to the Puppet Barge’s Patreon initiative. You can find the link in the bio of the Puppet Barge’s Instagram page. @puppetbarge

Welcome to The Puppet Theatre Barge. We've had a lot of people join us, and we thought we should reintroduce ourselves.
This is the wonderful Emily giving you a little tour.
We currently have @stringtheatre with their beloved show, The Insect Circus, showing until the 24th March.
Then we host @nodatthefox for their show, Pea.
We also have a host of evening music and cabaret nights which you can find on our website.

Who are you?
As the four seasons of the year unfold a tiny duckling goes on a journey, only to discover that the journey’s end is…themself!
With the music of Antonio Vivaldi and Max Richter, shadow master Drew Colby explores the classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen using only the shadow of his body, light and a few simple props. A whole magical world unfolds, with a host of unforgettable characters. A moving and beautiful exploration of identity suitable for ages 4 - 10
