Gene D'Adamo, president and CEO, retires from the Trust, leaving a legacy of service.
“Gene D’Adamo has been an outstanding CEO for the Trust during the last 12 years,” said Carol Schilling, trustee and board chair of the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust. “He has helped us refine our vision and rise to meet unexpected challenges facing the philanthropic community. Gene helped us find the most effective ways to support Arizona and Indiana during the COVID-19 crisis and economic downturns, when community needs were greatest and nonprofit resources were most stretched. And he has always been a delight to work with.”

From an empty lot to one of the finest animal care facilities in the country — the new @indyanimalcareservices shelter is now open and ready to transform animal welfare in Indy. 🐾✨
More than twice the size of the previous shelter and designed with modern, animal-centered amenities, the new @indyanimalcareservices facility will support pets in need and help more animals find their forever homes.
Endless gratitude to the partners who made this possible: the volunteers at @indyanimalcareservices , @indydbns , @indy.citycountycouncil , @friendsofindyanimals , @pulliamtrust , @colts , @afscmelocal725 , Dawn & Rick Snyder, and the Lilly Endowment. 💙🐶🐱
Last week, the @grand_canyon_conservancy recognized the Trust for our long partnership and $1 million in grant funding. Trust staff also enjoyed hiking and meeting with the #grandcanyonnps hydrologist, wildlife biologist, and archivist.
Some of the projects supported by the #pulliamtrust include a greenhouse growing #nativeplants for restoration, restoration work along the Bright Angel Trail, and dye-tracing work that protects drinking water and preserves #ecosystems.

Yesterday, Trust staff volunteered at @lostourhome . We cleaned kennels, organized donations, sorted food, and spent time with Koda and Chalkey. While we were there, Koda found his forever home! Chalkey, the white husky, is still waiting for his. 🐾

When Annie first joined ICAN, she was quiet and reserved. As a bilingual student with Spanish as her first language, homework time often felt challenging.
Our team learned that Annie receives one-on-one tutoring during the school day and wanted to help build on that progress. Today, she meets twice a week with a dedicated bilingual volunteer and former teacher for personalized homework support.
Now Annie shows up eager to learn and ready to try. It’s clear she’s discovering just how capable she truly is.
At ICAN, academic support isn’t just an add-on. It’s a lifeline that helps youth build confidence and succeed in school.
Thanks to the generosity of the @pulliamtrust ICAN is able to provide FREE, high-quality educational enrichment every day. Their support fuels our Academic Support Pillar, strengthening literacy, math, and STEM skills while giving students the one-on-one encouragement they need to thrive.
We’re deeply grateful to the @pulliamtrust , for believing in the potential of every ICAN student.
