We're currently working on our 3rd album. After self-titled debut and our sophomore LP 'Hominid', this one is going to be a reflection of our current musical state and the evolution we have gone since we started Cone of Confusion nearly 10 years ago. Out of this 3rd LP you already heard some singles... Thread Of Life, Femme Fatale and Sea of Nectar... but there is another 5 tracks coming your way all recorded, produced and mixed by the magic of @plugthatjackin 🧙‍♀️ The whole thing is to be mastered by @jack_prest 👌 You'll hear throughout the album @itsthesaxman on saxophones, flute and voice over @remisdelirium on guitar, kalimba and synth @jamesgrandisonmusic on bass @jcococ on drums and percussion And mad features with @a.p.chowdhury on tabla and @plugthatjackin on synth and keys You might guess that putting a work like this into something concrete takes a lot of time and resources. @_now_and_when_ is happening this Easter long weekend! For the occasion, we've teamed up with their crew to bring to the doof a live music stage. Now & When is a community driven gathering on Birpai Country; weaving together music, art, and nature to create magic 🌿🔮 3-6 April 2026 🌘 Amongst a line-up of incredible artists, we're thrilled to have on the live music band stage performances from @jamesgrandisonmusic (solo), @remisdelirium joined by flautist Sophie @syrinxseer and a stage debut from @tabloid.band Hot off the press: TABLOID is a fresh face on the Sydney music scene, though its lineup will be familiar to seasoned gig-goers. Combining the cinematic rock of Wolf Alice, the anxious energy of Massive Attack, and the unsettling but captivating musings of Radiohead, TABLOID is yet more than the sum of its parts. Rémi Marchand is a French guitarist based in Eora/Sydney since 2016. For his ambient solo project Rémi brings together his influences of blues music, 70s prog and fusion into a kaleidoscope of atmospheric textures and meditative soundscapes. For the 2nd half of his set, he will be joined by Sydney-based flautist Sophie bringing the blissful sound of wind instruments yo the stage. Photo (slide 3) @melaniegracefilm James Grandison is a Sydney InnerWest-based emerging Bassist and Composer. His solo bass project is a path of discovery, of himself and his instrument, and incorporates both electric and upright bass. His colourful sets range from experimental and striking originals and improvisations to popular covers, usually utilising loop functions and blending improvised, synthesised sounds with groovy rhythms and rich textures. For the 100th anniversary of the making of Fritz Lang's iconic silent movie Metropolis, @coneofconfusionband and @psymatic.2k team up for an audiovisual experience: a psychedelic cinema experience with an original soundtrack performed live 📽 The silent movie will be screened at Mothership Studios, Marrickville, with a soundtrack performed live by Eora/Sydney-based psych jazz band Cone of Confusion and augmented by visual installations and effects by Psymatic 2000 🌌 Made in 1926, Fritz Lang's iconic silent movie Metropolis shows us a sci-fi dystopian futuristic vision set in 2026 that echoes true to our current era of power struggle and interaction with technology. Nowadays, the themes of Metropolis become increasingly relevant and brings us to reflect on contemporary challenges like social division, clashes of culture and the prevalence of AI in the workforce, ultimately resolving into a message of unity. In 2025, we released a lot of amazing music! Here's a sampler of it for this past year, Cone of Confusion, Othrship, BALKO and Rémi Marchand some of our fave Aussie psych artists! Eora/Sydney-based band @coneofconfusionband takes audiences on a voyage through textural soundscapes and improvisation, travelling through dissonant musical galaxies to reach sonic utopia. Thread of Life is the first single to come out of Cone of Confusion's upcoming 3rd album due for release in in 2026. “Expand your horizons of consciousness without taking illicit substances” ABC Radio 🦍 Sea of Nectar, their next single is coming out next Wednesday! @othrship a progressive, psychedelic, space themed jazz rock band from Eora/Sydney and is Henry Manuell’s passion project. In this creative escape, he expresses the full range of his musical abilities and journey through the maze of his mind. A Captain's Final Message brings 🚀Othrship's interstellar narrative to its emotional peak and is the pivotal title track of an EP telling their epic space odyssey. @balkogram is a prog and psych band from Eora/Sydney. Their single Onion sounds like Black Midi if they wrote a song for King Crimson. 🌰Composed around the main riff, the addition of layer upon layer, like an Onion, made it a full song with an explosive message. Rémi Marchand @remisdelirium is the guitarist for Cone of Confusion as well as founder of independent label PsyconFest Records. In 2025, he made his debut solo wiht an ambient psychedelic and meditative project. Last year was such a ride and we're stoked to be gearing up for a mad 2026 ahead! Most importantly we recorded our 3rd over the course of last year.
