And then there are the “good” people. The apolitical. The neutral. The ones who say: “I don’t want conflict.” “I support equality, but…” “I’m not against justice, I just don’t like disruption.” But NEUTRALITY HAS ALWAYS SERVED POWER. Apathy is not harmless. Comfort is not innocence. When you refuse to challenge oppression, you do not stand outside it. YOU STAND WITH IT

In 2017, our co-founder presented the agenda of Pollution Free Periods - addressing pollution and health risks from unsustainable menstrual hygiene materials at UNEA-3 with @womensmajorgroup . Since then we have continued to highlight the intersection of menstrual equity and climate action in various multilateral spaces. This was the very first time there was a call to action from observers on: - Disposable menstrual products containing dioxins, pesticide residues, and synthetic chemicals pose serious health and environmental risks. - Tampons and sanitary pads made from bleached rayon or non-organic cotton expose users to endocrine-disrupting toxins. - Globally, these products generate over 200,000 tonnes of waste annually, with a single pad taking up to 800 years to decompose. - Mandate chemical disclosure, enforce Extended Producer Responsibility, and promote safer alternatives — organic cotton pads, cloth pads, and menstrual cups

Nothing fascinates me more than “safe feminist spaces” that run on silence, whispers, and strategic loyalty. Accountability is cute—until it threatens someone’s access to power. The same people who privately critique, dissect, and know what’s wrong will publicly perform solidarity like it’s a full-time job. Because apparently, integrity is negotiable—but proximity to opportunity isn’t. Call it out, and suddenly you’re “difficult,” “disruptive,” or conveniently excluded. Stay agreeable, stay useful, stay quiet—and watch how far performative feminism can take you. Sisterhood, but only when it’s profitable.

@psbabitha for @greenworms_ with @bbg.initiative 🌱 When menstruation becomes more sustainable, it creates safer, toxic-free periods and healthier ecologies. By building collective understanding around these complex realities, we move closer to menstrual equity, dignity, and care for all. DM us to host a session. 📷 @suryaa_suu

Design is never neutral. It shapes experiences, systems, and everyday realities — often through the lens of gender. As part of the Design and Environment course (Semester 4), we hosted an insightful session on Design and Gender by P. S. Babitha — Facilitative Committee Member, Women and Gender Constituency, UNFCCC, Co-Founder of Menstruation Matters, and Project Partner at Not Without Us. The session opened up critical conversations on inclusivity, equity, and the role of design in addressing gendered experiences in society. #KSID #DesignEducation #GenderAndDesign #DesignForChange #InclusiveDesign DesignAndEnvironment SustainableDesign DesignThinking KeralaDesign DesignStudents SocialImpact UNFCCC

India does not have an official class-income cutoff yet — above ₹2 lakh a month is already top 1% of the country. So stop putting yourself behind the label “middle class” and start mutual aid with the people closest to you. Make a giving pledge. PUT.YOUR.MONEY.WHERE.YOUR.HOT-TAKES.ARE.

We came, we listened, we shared! The Solidarity Circle's very first reading and conversation circle in Kochi, Read The Room had over 20 of us coming together to witness Women's Day with a gentle pause. In a world of rush and uncertainty we hope, reflect and dare. Cheers 🌱 Note: In this increasingly capitalist society, we recognise the need for solidarity spaces in the spirit of mutual aid and not for profits. This gathering was organised through individual contribution and pay-what-you-can for participants. The Solidarity Circle is an idea nurtured among friends, survivors, and comrades — navigating life in the aftermath of the post #MeToo world. Message us if you're interested to host a circle or would like to know more 🌸
