Tokyo's Akihabara area, or "Akiba" as it's fondly known, absolutely blew our minds when @ryan.mitra and I walked through its neon drenched streets earlier this year. The absolute mecca of anime, gaming and pop culture, it made my inner child feel the same excitement as waiting for the new Pokemon episode at 5 pm everyday did. I came back and wrote this piece of music to try and capture what it felt like; the overstimulating, bright, joyful maximalism of it all :") Also, never getting tired of distorted electric mandolin 🤌🏾🤌🏾 And of course, thanks to mah bois @jyotirmay.menon and @ajasra__ for bringing this adrenaline rush blitz to life with me!
