Whats the sound of enforced morality in the name of lord, look like?
A white noise causing tinnitus, deafening after a point.

happy closing to the @meanwhile_elsewhere_ indian national tour. what a life changing experience it has been to take this show around the country: Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and back to Ahmedabad exactly a year after creating it here with the amazing people at Darpana/Natarani. how I love to play marco polo & help choreograph this piece. I am forever grateful. thank you to everyone who has made this magic happen again & again & again- especially director @yfarer & co-choreographer/mentor @mallikasarabhai 🌙

This old timer has been such a great random purchase, brought it for parts not knowing it works almost fine.

Kavya - @kavyatrehan Live at @g5a.culture , 23rd of May 2025.
Kavya’s performance draws a distinctive portrait of past, present and future, all happening at once. Blink and you miss a frame you don’t want to miss. Cannot wait to see it all again.

When I was a kid, merely 5/6 years old, my aunt used to take me to Sursagar(a lake) in Vadodara where I used to spend hours bothering her with my curiosities. Since then, sitting next to water bodies has been a comforting experience for me.
A couple of years after I shifted to Ahmedabad, riverfront was built and since the last 10 years, I have been going there from time to time, most recently for cycling. Every time I look at the river, I feel like jumping in. I don’t have a death wish but I used to be scared of massive water bodies while growing up and once I got rid of that fear, I liked the idea of challenging myself like this. Even if someday miraculously I do consider attempting this, these images will haunt me forever.
The river has been emptied recently, a dam on the Vasna end needs fixing and they’re(Municipal corporation) using the opportunity to clean the river bed which is plagued by plastic, metal, ashes, dead fishes, bags, bottles and what not. Especially after the river has been emptied, some have started treating it as actual dump yard or maybe a giant “NATURAL” dust bin. Throwing cigarette boxes, cake boxes, the masks and emptied refreshments cartons they used while cleaning the river (lol), bottles, old suitcases for example.
What I saw? A wasteland from a post apocalyptic world, where the river has died, industrial discharge flowing in constantly, the human mess that makes the land barren, some wafer packet from 2016 quite intact, some people pretending to clean the river for pictures, some workers who were paid to clean the river and some random ass people who just seem like they’re insane cause they’re there to clean the river, with no incentive at all to make them do it.
I asked one of the folks at SRFDCL, how much progress will we make by the end of this drive? He says “However much we can”. I don’t blame him, watching a place so beloved to me filled with our trash, from one end to the other made me feel like it would take an eternity to clean this up.
Gratitude to all who helped clean it up.
I guess this is what it looks like, when we lose our soul. Or do we?

That October
A spirit wandered
In the search of the pale queen
Hidden deep in the elder forests
Where the footsteps fade quicker than lights
Heavy steps smearing the soft dirt
Theres a bunch of Shamans
Chanting from the shadows
“Pale queen pale queen I wish to perish”
Spirit, seeks salvation
From chains of mortal attachments
Can the pale queen please emancipate him?

A man searching
for lost Paradise
Can seem a fool
to those who never
sought the other world

Now is here.
Now there’s you and me
Know that now is when we get to know
Cursed in me or blessed in you
Now exists between “we know nothing and nothing left to know”
Believe that now is temporary
And everything will be easier to know
Lost in the moment
No where but now here.
