Thanks to the @protectorsoftulesprings , members of OV's day habilitation program had the opportunity to explore the past with a recent visit to the @iceagefossilsstatepark . Everyone had a blast touring the visitor's center, hiking the Mega Fauna trail and learning about the local history, scientific expeditions and "Leave No Trace" principles. image 1: a group of people from the Opportunity Village community outside of the Ice Age Fossils State Park admiring a large metal sculpture of a mammoth. image 2: the silhouettes of people sitting in an exhibit room watching a large screen video projected on the wall. #OpportunityVillage #OVCommunity #LasVegasCommunity #SupportOV #IceAgeFossilsStatePark #NevadaStatePark #TuleSprings #HomeMeansNevada #TravelNevada #DisabilitySupport #InclusionMatters

At the Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade for 4th of July. Kash, Red, and Ragnar (the horses) did an amazing job. Thanks to all of our human volunteers that braved the heat. Give us a vote for your favorite Patriotic Parade entry from this year’s event. Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument Volunteer Mounted Horse Patrol at: /resident-choice-award/

Last weekend, Tule Springs Fossil Beds National monument volunteer Mounted Horse Patrol desensitized the horses to sights, sounds, and smells that they may experience during the 4th of July parade this week in Summerlin. This included banners, flags, and bubbles. If you happen to be at the Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade on Thursday July 4th, cheer for us!
