🚵♀️Desert Flow Bike Park is happening🤘
This project is proof of what’s possible when people come together for the love of community, collaboration, and bicycles!
📍This park is going to be an incredible enhancement to the SW, and we’re beyond grateful for Justin Jones and everyone who poured time, energy, and heart into making this project real👏👏👏

🚲 We officially broke ground on Desert Flow Bike Park at Southwest Ridge!
This new 17-acre bike skills park will be a premier outdoor recreation destination for the southwest valley—designed for kids, families, beginners, and experienced riders alike.
The park will feature multi-level skills courses, pump tracks, dirt trails, shaded gathering areas, restrooms, and a new parking lot to make access easy and welcoming for everyone.
Desert Flow represents a meaningful investment in community health, outdoor adventure, and quality public spaces—and we’re excited to see it take shape.
Here is a preview of some of the trails being used for the Southern Nevada Pedal Fest in Blue Diamond with @mrchrisboice . Recognize any of these sections?
Southern Nevada Mountain Bike Association(SNMBA) is dedicated to building, maintaining and advocating for world-class trails in the Las Vegas area. We are excited to showcase our expanding trail system with the upcoming Southern Nevada Pedal Fest on November 1-2, celebrating community riding and the future of local trails.
Many thanks to @snmba for hosting Chris and I earlier this year. Love your work.

SNMBA was invited to Red Rock Canyon to participate in a roundtable discussion with Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgam this morning. This event was attended by many different outdoor groups, from mountain bikers (that would be us 😊) to climbers to off roaders to hunters and ranchers. It’s not every day that you get the chance to meet and talk with the actual decision makers of our country, so this was really an amazing opportunity. We were able to speak directly to the Secretary and share our experience and frustrations of trying to build trails legally on federal land.
We would like to thanks the folks at @imba_us for bringing this opportunity to us. We are hopeful that the connections we made at this event will translate into more help for trails in Southern Nevada.
⚠️On March 18, 2026, the Forest Service will be conducting invasive plant treatments on the Lower Showgirl trail between Harris Springs and highway 157.
This will involve the utilization of herbicide, causing the trail to be dyed blue in areas of treatment.
Signage will be posted for 24-48 hours to communicate with hikers and bikers in the area.
‼️Please do not ride or hike on areas sprayed to avoid transfer of blue dye onto tires, shoes, pants, or skin. The blue dye will be visible, though fading, for several days after spraying and signs are removed.

Nevada is seriously underrated for mountain biking. With 314 mountain ranges packed into one state, you get everything from Cam Zink-designed jump lines at 8,000+ feet to technical desert descents that'll test every skill you have. These five trail systems prove that Nevada deserves way more love from the MTB community. Link in bio for the full rundown.

SNMBA teamed up recently with the BLM and the folks with Cowboy Trail Rides to assess the condition of a few of the trails in the Blue Diamond Hill area. We specifically looked at Bunny to see if the long term erosion can be repaired, or if a reroute will be needed. Once we have a plan we will be reaching out for volunteers, so stay tuned!
