Most people don’t realize how much posture can influence how you feel on a daily basis. When the body loses the ability to organize itself efficiently during movement, you start seeing compensations everywhere: • Rounded posture • Hip shifting • Uneven shoulders • Chronic stiffness and tension • Reduced energy and resilience Jaihoon originally came in dealing with severe kyphosis, lordosis, a right hip hike, and stiffness through his shoulders and lower back, especially during bending and overhead movement. Since improving his movement and overall coordination, he’s experienced: • Improved spinal and hip alignment • Reduced stiffness • Better sleep quality • Lower anxiety levels • Increased physical and mental resilience • No longer relying on caffeine daily People around him have even commented that he appears taller now. These changes go far beyond aesthetics. When the body starts moving better, posture, energy levels, confidence, and overall quality of life can begin changing too. Shoutout to @naveen_veluppillai for the work and results showcased here. If you’re in Las Vegas and ready to improve your posture, movement, and overall strength, send us a DM or call/text (702) 789-7741 to book your free consult. #projectfunction #posture #lasvegas #functionaltraining

@suzyfishel began training with me approximately one year ago. At the start of training, she reported chronic lower back pain, right shoulder discomfort (rated around 4/10), and a general feeling of tightness and restriction throughout her body, particularly in the thoracic spine. She also expressed a fear of movement due to discomfort and lack of control. Initial visual assessment showed a clear anterior bias, including ribcage flare, limited thoracic mobility, and suboptimal ribcage–pelvis stacking. Her posture and movement patterns suggested inefficient force distribution and limited ability to manage pressure through the trunk. Training followed a structured progression using the Functional Patterns framework, beginning with myofascial release to address tissue stiffness, followed by corrective exercises to improve positional awareness and control, and eventually integrating more dynamic movement patterns. Emphasis was placed on improving ribcage–pelvis stacking, restoring thoracic mobility, and enhancing overall movement efficiency. Over the course of training, Suzy demonstrated consistent progress. She now reports 0/10 pain, with no chronic tightness or discomfort in her lower back or shoulder. Visually, she shows improved postural organization, including better ribcage positioning over the pelvis, reduced anterior bias, and improved thoracic alignment. In addition to structural improvements, she has developed greater confidence in movement and no longer expresses fear or hesitation when performing exercises. Subjectively, she reports feeling stronger and more in control of her body. Feedback from her family has also reflected noticeable changes, with her children commenting that she “looks like an athlete again.” The before and after images reflect changes in posture and structural organization, particularly in ribcage–pelvis stacking and overall alignment.

@functionalpatterns and @projectfunction.vegas got me feeling 👌🏽 I’m 36 and moving better than at 26. 10 years ago I was in pain 24/7, now I don’t feel any. Still just getting started, set up the foundation and going to keep building. No drugs, just mechanistic thinking. Thank you @theleverking for keeping me sharp 🙏🏽 #functionalpatterns #projectfunction #functionaltraining #pain #posture

Get @reshare_app • @functionalpatterns This goes for everyone, not just those dealing with osteopenia. If your bones feel weak, your balance is off, or basic movements feel like a struggle, it’s not just “aging.” It’s a movement problem. Training should be about longevity, not just burning calories or wearing down your joints with repetitive lifts. If your workouts leave you stiff, achy, or structurally compromised, it’s time to rethink your approach. Prioritize biomechanics and move in ways that reinforce your body instead of breaking it down. As @louisanicola_ breaks down, research is already showing that even simple forms of jumping can improve bone density. Now imagine what happens when you make that jumping as efficient and biomechanically sound as possible. Osteoporosis and osteopenia don’t happen overnight. They develop over years of poor movement patterns that weaken bone density and joint integrity. And not all movement is created equal. Jumping, lifting, or running without proper mechanics can actually accelerate breakdown. The movements @_kathy_alvarez_ demonstrates here aren’t just about strength. They’re about restoring bone density through better mechanics. They build stability and teach your body to absorb and produce force efficiently. Strength isn’t just about lifting heavy. It’s about developing full-body connectivity so your muscles and joints work with you, not against you. Train intentionally, not habitually. #functionalpatterns #osteoporosis #osteopenia #functionaltraining #biomechanics jumping

No matter your age, level of athleticism, or desire to become a practitioner or not, @fp.certified courses will help take your health to the next level. Highly recommend. #Repost @fp.certified Every level sharpens the lens. What gets introduced in HBS 1 gives you the foundation, but HBS 2 and beyond deepen your ability to actually see what’s driving dysfunction and, more importantly, how to organize the body toward better outcomes. Better assessment leads to better application, and better application leads to more replicable results. That’s the difference between collecting information and developing true precision. When practitioners like @_michelle.johnson__ continue refining their understanding of biomechanics, force transfer, and structural organization, the results keep improving because the inputs keep improving. Better information, better results. #functionalpatterns #fpcertified #fpisthestandard humanbiomechanicsspecialist posture
