What a night ⚾✨ Thank you to everyone who came out for Project Unbroken Night with the Frisco RoughRiders. Seeing our community show up in such a big way meant more than we can say. From handing out Project Unbroken baseballs and bracelets to watching one of our supporters throw out the first pitch, the night was filled with moments we’ll never forget. A huge thank you to the @FriscoRoughRiders organization for partnering with us and helping create such a special evening for the children and families we serve. These are the moments that remind us what community really looks like. 🧡

Mental Health Awareness Month is important, but awareness alone isn’t enough. Real impact happens when awareness turns into action ✨ Sometimes that action looks small: Checking in on someone. Saving a crisis number. Having a more honest conversation. Learning the signs that someone may be struggling. One of the most important things we can do is become familiar with resources BEFORE a crisis happens. When emotions are high, it’s hard to think clearly. Preparation matters. Save this post. Share it with someone. Start the conversation. You never know who may need it. @ghfoundation @afspnational @namicommunicate @afspntx @namintx

🍯 Why Your Scars are Your Superpower Stop hiding your scars. They are your competitive advantage. We’ve been lied to about what it means to be a leader. We’re told to be shatterproof. To hide the cracks. But what happens when your world actually shatters? In S2.E13 of the (un)conversations podcast, I sat down with Trina Roffino, former CEO of TMA and Founder of Project Unbroken. After 26 years climbing to the top, Trina faced a life-shattering loss: the death of her husband by suicide. 👇In this clip, Trina explains the 15th-century art of Kintsugi that redefined her resilience. “You don’t discard what’s broken; you rebuild it and show the scars. You are stronger and more beautiful for having been broken.” — Trina Roffino Trina traded her global CEO title to help others navigate what she calls the “non-casserole death”—the isolation that follows a suicide loss. If you’re feeling “shattered” right now, remember: Brokenness isn’t failure; it’s evolution. Stop trying to glue the old version of yourself back together. That version doesn’t fit anymore. Vulnerability is a leadership superpower. The “perfect” leader is a myth. Showing your scars gives your team permission to be human. Success isn’t a straight line. Sometimes the bravest move is walking away from a “dream job” to find a life that serves your soul. Stop waiting for things to go back to “normal.” Normal is what broke you. It’s time to build something better. 🎧 Listen to the full Masterclass in resilience: support Project Unbroken are in the first comment!👇 ⚠️ Note: This episode contains raw discussions about mental health and suicide loss. If you need support, text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or HOME to 741741. You are not alone. #MentalHealth #Resilience #Kintsugi #ProjectUnbroken #SuicideAwareness

“Suicide is not a casserole death.” When Trina Roffino said these words to me, everything went quiet. We’ve all seen it: when a family loses a loved one, the community rallies. They bring meals. They fill the fridge. But when the cause is suicide, that support often vanishes into an “unspoken” isolation. No one knocks with a dish. People stay away because they don’t know what to say. As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s time to break that silence. Trina spent 26 years climbing the corporate ladder to become CEO and President of The Marketing Arm (TMA). But her most profound leadership lesson didn’t come from a boardroom—it came from navigating the unimaginable after losing her husband. Tomorrow on the (un)conversations® podcast: “The Unbroken Path” 🎙️ We’re diving into the raw reality of leading through trauma: 📍 The “Maps App” Reality: Why even the highest-achieving leaders can lose their internal GPS during a season of grief. 🏺 Kintsugi Leadership: Finding the beauty in the “repair”—leading not in spite of your scars, but with them. 🏈 The Super Bowl Epiphany: The moment Trina realized that “success” at the top isn’t worth being tethered to the wrong things. Leadership isn’t about being shatterproof; it’s about being (un)broken. How to Listen 🎧 The full (un)conversation with Trina Roffino drops tomorrow. 🔗 Tap the link in my bio to subscribe on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart or YouTube. To learn more about Trina’s mission to support families walking this path, visit Project Unbroken at the link in our bio. ⚠️ Note: S2.E13 contains a raw, honest discussion about suicide loss. We share this to break the stigma and remind you that you aren’t alone. Resources: If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available 24/7. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). 🤍 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #ProjectUnbroken #Kintsugi #BreakTheStigma #LeadingWithScars

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t what you’re feeling… it’s knowing how to say it. Mental Health Awareness Week is a reminder that opening up doesn’t have to be perfect. It can be simple, honest, and small. If you’ve been holding something in, maybe one of these is a place to start. For more information visit ProjectUnbroken.org
