“The cover for this issue came together on our last night of the College Media Association trip in New York City. We squeezed it in before dinner with the dean after rushing uptown from the Statue of Liberty look out point. I dragged props through Times Square, coordinated and directed with student attendees from the trip, Dean Jason Shepard and our adviser Marie Loggia-Kee and watched the shot finally fall into place in the middle of the city.
The idea behind the cover was something I had been shaping for months. A single image meant to connect every corner of our college in one frame. It was such a great time celebrating the launch of this spring 2026’s ProComm magazine!
This edition is so special because it showcases so many things you can do as a communications student. This 2026 edition is a travel edition focusing on all the places students went and will go because of CSUF Communications, along all the opportunities Communications also has.

Also at the ProComm launch party, Managing Editor Gregory Ferraro presented a set of honors to the Spring 2026 team and contributors. Adviser Marie Loggia-Kee and Dean of @commcsuf@csufcommdept Jason Shepard were both also recognized during the celebration for their support of students.
Everyone received a unique award that acknowledged their specific role in bringing the issue to life. It was a moment meant to highlight the dedication of the people behind the publication.
