Meet Vanessa Martinez! 🙋‍♀️ Vanessa is a Sr. Project Coordinator at Providence Strategic Consulting. She graduated from CSUF with a bachelor’s degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. “The Communications Department at CSUF provided me with a strong foundation of resources, guidance, and hands-on opportunities that prepared me for a career in public relations and marketing. During my time at CSUF, I gained valuable real-world experience that helped me discover my interests and refine my skills. Beyond coursework and internships, the support from CSUF’s Communications faculty played a significant role in my growth. Professors like Ken Hagihara (@paohaggi ) provided mentorship and guidance that continues to influence me today. Thanks to the preparation I received at CSUF, I was able to secure a full-time position shortly after graduating. I now work at a public relations, marketing, and public affairs agency in Bakersfield, California, where I have built upon my skills and earned three promotions in under two years. In my current role, I lead campaigns by developing strategic initiatives designed to create meaningful impact for target audiences. My work spans developing strategic social media campaigns, crafting key messaging, and securing media coverage through PR writing, as well as leading creative direction for photo and video shoots, coordinating events and influencers, and supporting advocacy efforts. My career has been both rewarding and dynamic with no two days the same.“ Show Vanessa some support in the comments and don’t forget to turn on those notifications to hear from more alumni! 👏

Thanks for getting creative with us at our AdClub x GCAC Creative Bootcamp! CSUF AdClub proudly hosted and led this Creative Bootcamp in downtown Santa Ana, bringing together students and industry professionals for a hands-on creative experience at the Grand Central Art Center and The Frida Cinema.
