Newton Abbot Ladies 12 vs. Newbury Ladies 17 With the ladies back to playing at home this weekend and considering the rain that had fallen through Saturday and Sunday they knew it would be a tough game. The All Whites kept Newbury at bay until they finally scored down in kitchen corner. With the conditions only getting worse the ladies went in 10-0 down at half time. Running back on to the field and playing back towards the clubhouse they knew it was time to step it up! Not long after that their first try came from forward @heatherfitness12 who also crossed the whitewash in the final play of the game aided by @steph_papp converting to finish with a losing bonus point! Forward of the match unsurprisingly went to @heatherfitness12 who now sits as the Ladies Top try scorer And back of the match went to @annekacragg - Sponsored by Centrax Special mention went to @_meganheath_ who dominated the first half in the backs and then moved to the forwards where she continued to show her skill set! Jumping on the bus for the last time this season, the buzz from the players was a good sight. Likely helped by a good run of games and a noticeably closer connection forming between each other. Travelling to Bideford you never know what you’re going to come up against! Bideford has a very good Fly Half and Scrum Half, who know how to play their pitch, probably more so in the wind and rain. We also won the last fixture on the Westaway Sausage Pitch at home, which sets a precedence for the next fixture. Bideford are a physical opposition and went 7 – 0 up early on, against the run of play after Josh Dore was sin-binned for a shoulder charge. Consequently, Bideford got their tails up and kicked themselves around the park. They made work difficult on the pitch. Senior Rugby Development Manager, Simon Morrell described them as “Nausy” effectively disrupting the flow of play whenever they got the chance. After some good phases of play, we went into the second half 7 – 5 down after a decent set piece scored by Aaron Smith who has returned to the First Team after injuring both ankles. With the poor conditions and the tight scoreline, we were fully expecting a tough second half and Bideford didn’t disappoint, dropping the anchor in the wet conditions and again their flyhalf bossing the game for them. After bringing on a fresh and very strong bench we created constant pressure and scored a decent try through Tom Osborn (Sponsored by PDA Electronics) only after having two tries held up. At times it felt like things could slip away. However, after a really mature performance and sticking at it, the All Whites put away another 2 tries through Josh Dore (Sponsored by Leys Construction)and Max Snowdon (Sponsored by Sherwood’s) in the least 20 minutes. A tough game but impressed with how we trusted the systems until the final whistle With the bonus-point win and Teignmouth losing away to Tiverton, Newton moved up to 5th place with hopes of an Intermediate Plate final at Rackerhayes on the 30th April #OneClub #OneCommunity #COYAW #NARFC

Your All Whites Match Report vs. @upthecamels ! We always knew it was going to be a tough opposition with them sitting top of the league unbeaten. We had a handful of players out due to family events and injuries which left the All Whites short in the backs, bringing in some of the pack to play in the backs … The first half brought a strong wind coming down into clubhouse corner for the Camels which brought with it a 17-0 lead at half time. Second half the tables turned and the All Whites started to dominate with Harry Allen scoring 3 tries brining the score to 28-19 with only 5 minutes to go! The Camels answered with a try right in the closing minutes! Overall a great second half for the All Whites - Man of the match selected by Mark Shaddick from @sasafetylimited - @harryta_ A large crowd made the loss even easier to swallow so thank you to everyone who came down!
