Pero vamos q el premio-mención no es solo mío, gracias a Ian De la Rosa, q nos dirigió maravillosamente, a @mariseern (nuestra acting coach de 10) y a @___restinga , pq no hay un Iván sin una Hadoum.
Al margen de los premios y sin sonar a cliché… lo que es un regalazo es la reacción del público y que todo tipo de gente conecte con la peli 🩶 eso sí q es fuerte!

I won the Jury’s SPECIAL MENTION for Best Male Actor for IVAN & HADOUM at @festivalmalaga ! A win for the transsexuals 😌
Oh and the film also won the Jury’s Special Award🥈 and Best script (to Ian de La Rosa- aka another 🏆 for the transes).
This wouldn’t have happened without the support from Ian (who’s amazing at directing), Mar (10/10 acting coach) and Herminia, the best colleague- cos there’s not Iván without Hadoum.
Awards aside and at the expense of sounding corny AF, the real gift is the audience’s reactions tbh, and people connecting with the film ❤️🔥

Brutal acogida de IVÁN & HADOUM en Málaga ❤️🔥 Muy contento de que tanta gente haya conectado con la peli y de que les haya hecho sentir y reflexionar.
Qué guay tener una película en la que ser trans NO sea el conflicto de la trama y que no se centre en el trauma o la violencia.
Las personas trans merecemos ocupar este espacio y ser protas de historias de amor y deseo (como la vida misma!!), lejos de clichés y estereotipos.

Still buzzing from the Spanish premiere of IVAN & HADOUM. Over the moon that so many people (from different backgrounds) connected with the movie and that it made them think and feel things.
How cool to be in a film where being trans is NOT the conflict, and that doesn’t focus on trauma and violence. Trans people deserve to see love stories on screen that are hottt, tender and realistic.
