Will try to highlight a few absolutely must see races at the 2026 Colorado state track and field meet this week. I can’t highlight everything, but will do what I can. Friday morning 9:43 am is the prelims for the 5A boys 4x100 Meter Relay. At some point the state record should go down and most likely by multiple teams. Cherry Creek enters with the number one seed of 40.92, while Fort Collins is second at 40.97. Both of those times are quicker than the current state meet record of 41.21. Could we see an all time record faster than the current 40.59 set by Grandview in 2022? It will take a special race, but that would align with what kind of season it has been! This gallery is a few shots of the two teams racing in some events earlier this season.
