Back in January I had an article published in the @stirtoaction journal and it is now publicly available online and in the latest issue of the magazine.
The article is about mine and my colleagues work at @prestoncoopdevelopment as well as my personal perspective on how the creative industries can help the cooperative sector as well as the national economy 🐝
I do truly believe that the way towards a happier, healthier and more resilient society is by being Cooperative, Community-focused, Cultural, Creative, and Conscious.

THATS A WRAP
The CoLab & Lady Boss programmes concluded with an awards ceremony in the Harris Museum with certificates handed out by the Madam Mayor.
Trying not to make this into a LinkedIn post here but I want to celebrate a success of mine and all the people on the programme too!
This was CoLab: Cooperative Enterprise for Artists. We are now looking to form our own artists cooperative and set up in a building somewhere... anyone wanna lend us a building?
People often ask what I do for a living? Now as much as I think theres far better questions to ask people, I'll share a little bit. As well as writing, performing poetry, hosting events, running a local seasonal zine, working in a community arts centre and being an all round legend... I also work in Cooperative Development. Having worked in Economic Development projects in the UK, Vietnam and Ghana; spending nearly a decade in Arts & Culture as well as the Third Sector; I believe Cooperatives is the perfect place to be.
Here I can help create cultural change by helping people to start their own democratic businesses. Owning the means of their production. And doing something for communities at the same time.
Oh well, Ive only gone and done it. Now its a bloody LinkedIn post. Whatever, sue me.
If you want to find out more about this stuff, get in touch with me or @prestoncoopdevelopment
And if you want an event catering, get in touch with @ladybosspreston
