We are honored and proud to share that our Post-Tension Stair in Long Island has received a Pinnacle Award in the Residential Interior category from the Natural Stone Institute.
Working directly with quarry masters in Vermont, our team hand-selected blocks of Danby Fantastico marble for tone, strength, and visual continuity. Through advanced digital modeling and CNC robotic machining, we fabricated 50 large-format treads with extraordinary precision—each drilled, milled, and routed to house hidden structural elements.
Installation demanded millimetric accuracy. After setting each tread on temporary shoring, high-strength steel cables were threaded through the internal cores and anchored to custom steel plates. Hydraulic jacks then applied calibrated tension, allowing the staircase to perform as a single, unified structural system.
This project represents a rare intersection of modern structural engineering and stone artistry: the first post-tensioned stone staircase in the United States built from domestically quarried marble.
The stair stands as a testament to sustainable sourcing, technical mastery, and creative collaboration—showcasing what is possible when craftsmanship and innovation meet the timeless strength of natural stone.
Thank you to the @naturalstoneinstitute ! Congratulations to @piccogroup , @thestonemasonrycompany , @webbyates , @sdonadicinc , @thomasjuulhansen , @vermontquarries

A massive block of Arabescato Corchia was transformed into a cubic vanity with integrated sinks by our team of stone artisans.
We combine millennia-old techniques with cutting-edge technologies to realize anything that can be imagined in stone. The material speaks for itself—but our role was to elevate it, ensuring the stone not only enhanced the space but became integral to its identity.
We were proud to collaborate on this Park Avenue project with Grade New York and LICO contracting. #CustomStoneInstallation #ATrueWorkOfArt @licocontracting@grade_newyork
Floating Labradorite: engineered to be both sculptural and functional.
This custom vanity by Precision Stone features a cantilevered design that creates the illusion of suspended stone, supported by a concealed custom steel structure hidden within the piece itself. Crafted from richly dimensional Labradorite, the vanity incorporates an integrated stone sink, custom steel detailing, and a linear drain — seamlessly blending architectural engineering with master craftsmanship.
Unlike traditional marble, Labradorite is a feldspar mineral renowned for its dramatic labradorescence — an iridescent optical effect that reveals flashes of blue, green and gold as light moves across the surface.
Formed deep within the earth over time, the stone develops microscopic internal layers that refract light at different angles, creating its signature iridescent glow and ever-changing depth. The material transforms throughout the day, creating depth, movement, and reflection that make the installation feel almost cinematic.
Every detail was thoughtfully designed to highlight the movement, depth and natural beauty of the stone. The finished piece feels bold yet effortless, combining craftsmanship, engineering and architectural design.
At Precision Stone, innovation and artistry work hand in hand to push the boundaries of what stone can become.

The Hermanx Table, by the multidisciplinary designer Mark Grattan, embodies the tension between simplicity and complexity — where refined form meets the depth of material and process.
Grattan first developed the concept in Mexico City through early material explorations. The project evolved with the introduction of Vermont Fantastico Danby marble, harvested from one of the largest underground quarry in the world.
From this material, a continuous S-shaped gesture was carved, weaving fluidly through the piece and defining its form.
The transition from wood to marble was a pivotal moment in the table’s development, with Precision Stone playing a key role in translating the design across materials.
As Grattan shared, “You see the hand, you feel the time, you feel the exhaustion, and you feel the hours put into this. That’s what creates that timelessness — that sense of heirloom — and that’s the commitment to craftsmanship.”
We couldn’t agree more — it’s a philosophy our team at Precision Stone brings into every step of the process.
The statement piece was developed in collaboration with ABC Worldwide Stone and fabricated by Precision Stone, where this iteration in natural stone pushed scale and perception.
The creativity of our artists and team continues to drive a constant surge of inspiration.

A closer look at the bath we created with @dowbuilt and @atelier_am_inc , recently featured in Architectural Digest. Every inch of the Paonazzo Brecciato marble from @abcstone was furnished and installed by our team of stone professionals. It’s truly a project we love to celebrate. #CustomStoneInstallation
We collaborated with BMA Architects and Wright & Co Construction on this resort-like Southampton residence. LaGuardia Design’s magic touch is just beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows, blurring the line between indoors and out. Our team at Precision furnished and installed the variously sized tiles of flamed Pietra d’Istria Limestone; bringing natural elegance and timeless character to the home.

Congratulations to @rachelmicaweiss on her work being featured at @friezeofficial in Los Angeles. Her carved marble sculpture, "Whose Dominion?" will make its debut.
Our design engineers worked with Rachel to carve the rough pieces of Rosso Levanto and Roso Aurora on both our water-jet and 7-axis robot. Rachel and her team then hand-finished and assembled each link, lock, and key. This is the third project we have done together and we are incredibly proud to help her realize her unique visions. #CustomStoneInstallation
Our mission to support artists includes providing a full range of tools and resources at our facility. Our 7-axis robot has hollowed out 3 marble benches sculpted by Stephen Shaheen. By removing hundreds of pounds of material from these pieces, we significantly reduced the weight and relieved internal stress. This better equips them for Shaheen’s final touches and their installation on a balcony. @stephen_shaheen
Nero Marquina is a Spanish marble that made its way through Italy, then met our 5-axis CNC for final fabrication, and now lives as a striking focal point in a Southampton powder room.
We take pride in our close relationships with the world’s leading vendors, allowing us to source nature’s finest materials and guide their transformation into timeless, functional works of art.

An antique Travertine fireplace was supplied by the owner and installed with finesse by our team. We also fabricated and installed the black soapstone hearth extension, completing this unique design that truly celebrates natural stone.
Scenes from the shop: Flame finishing.
The water provides a controlled thermal shock from the heat of the torch, and prevents damaging the structural integrity of the stone. The result is the precise amount of fractures that give that rough, textured finish that will weather any environment.

We pride ourselves in the superb quality of both craftsmanship and installation that we provide for our patrons.
Fabricating stone is a delicate process that requires a heightened level of artisanship and handling, especially if the pieces are of distinctive length and composition. These photos show a glimpse into our construction process of profiled edges for a bathroom completely covered in Calacatta Turquoise marble. After digitally rendering multiple slabs, our skilled team invested substantial hours in the meticulous preparation of individual pieces for the final installation.
Slabs underwent precision cutting, strategic gluing, hand finishing, and careful assembly. Each of these steps were completed while prioritizing the desired vein matching. The execution of such work demands masterful planning and an unwavering attention to detail. #CustomStoneInstallation
