Created as a physical extension of the culture surrounding Grassroots, the paper featured stories, sponsor spotlights, photography, and the people who continue to shape the community around us. Written by our own @pravzilla of @primenyc.co and designed by @sam_piva of @grassroots_edition , the publication highlighted sponsors @brewwatches and @gyeon.usa while also spotlighting a lifelong ‘86 enthusiast @elfather.ae86 , photographer @marc_ramos , and videographer @lost_king_media .
For everyone who couldn’t get their hands on a copy at the event, we’re excited to finally share it online. This was something special to us, a reminder that car culture is just as much about storytelling as it is the cars themselves. We few weeks ago there was a weekend session that merged art with cars. This event was held at @99scott_ by our friends from @grassroots_edition and these two beauties from @rocsdesign were displayed. These reinterpretations of Porsches give life to a chassis that can often be just status symbols. The patina work and details on each of them evoked the racing history of yesterday year while taking the grittiness of NJ/NYC. I saw their video many year ago on YT but to see these in person was a treat. I don’t know much of new Porsches but if I’d ever get into one, I can only dream that it would look like this but maybe on some RS Watanabe’s. #rocsdesign #rocsauto #primenyc #nyc #brooklyn
This photo has so many layers of meaning and it all started with me trying to get a car part. A good homie @mateihp who now lives in Bangkok was nice enough to pickup and drop off this carbon fiber intake (on his birthday no less)for the EK9 while my parents were in Bangkok. Looking closer at the photo, it was taken in front of the house my parents struggled to pay off and where I spent many of my summer vacations in BKK. I’m so incredibly grateful of the friends I’ve met through cars locally and around the world. Most importantly I’m so thankful of the support my parents and now my wife @dopey104 have given me in doing/living what I love. Last night’s Honda Collective session is what automotive enthusiasts live and work towards. An uninterrupted cruise and hang with other like-minded folks who bring nothing but positive vibes. I get asked pretty often what’s my favorite event of the year and honestly that’s a hard question to answer but @circuitlegends with @gridlife comes at the very top of the list. We get to celebrate some of the best cars at a legendary race track, and I get to work with my best friend @yo_edo to set up the Concours and camp with the the people I love @dopey104 and @jdiaz181 .
