Happy new year! Wishing you all an incredible 2026. Sending positive energy to all. I wish you nothing but success and happiness in the new year. Reflecting on 2025, I am grateful for good health and experiences with friends and family. Collaborating with passionate people always lifts my spirits. I definitely encountered obstacles that prevented me from achieving all of my goals. What a privilege it is to be able to wake up and try again. I’m back in Japan to celebrate with my close friends and family. I always feel refreshed and inspired when I visit this country. Not just the cars but the culture and kindness is always so welcoming and warm. Reminds me of Puerto Rico in a way, perhaps it’s an island thing. Getting ready for the epic car week ahead. There are so many events happening this time around, I’m actually shocked. Coming here for almost 2 decades, TAS, RWB meeting and local hangs were the majority of car related activities. Now seeing “JDM Tours” on trip advisor and so many events, it’s interesting to see how things have evolved over the years. History made thanks to @crownspeedlab and @elfather.ae86 !From the East Coast to the world. When I came back from Japan, Bryant @tantrumspeed and Calvin @calvincspeedlab told me and @pravzilla about their plans for R2X this year. I couldn’t believe it when they mentioned they took the initiative to invest in hosting @sungkangsta himself (!!!) You can imagine how excited we were to hear about this. Afterward, they ran down the plan they prepared for this entire week. The R2X event itself, the cruise, and the meet all came from their minds. They assigned the Times Square cruise to us at @primenyc.co and asked @daikokunyc to gather the community in front of @shinsenbowery , welcoming @sungkangsta and @elfather.ae86 at the end of the cruise. Tony @shinsenbowery then opened his doors for the locals to hang with Sung for a meet and greet over good drinks and sushi. A true milestone for the NYC automotive community. Everyone had their role to play and it all came together perfectly. I’m grateful to Bryant and Calvin for bringing this to NYC. They deserve all the credit for everything that is happening this week. The rest of us are supporting this for the love of culture. On a personal note, I never thought I’d have Sung Kang following me all over the city in an AE86 while I cruise in the 240SX. The fact that it was my brother @elfather.ae86 car made it even more surreal. His car inspired Lola, the hero car of the @driftermovie . So again, this would have likely never happened if Peter didn’t build that beautiful car in the first place. Like Bryant and Calvin, Peter is another incredibly humble OG in the game who has given the scene everything and more. Thank you Peter, you did this! NYC always finds a way to make random “that would never happen” thoughts become real. I’ve taken so many Times Square iPhone photos over the years, but this one has to be one of my favorites. BTW, I am now also part of Sung’s security detail hahah. Come see @sungkangsta at @r2xpo at the @nyautoshow this weekend. Grab some merch and enjoy all of the builds at the show!

When my brothers @rikos_way and @focam_tokyo touched down in NYC last Tues, it was non-stop action every day and night! Meets, shoots, cruises and more. I’m still on a high after the most epic night run we’ve had in a while. If the streets could talk, the stories they would tell… I’m still ecstatic, exhausted, but fulfilled and grateful.
