One of my favorite events of the year is the annual @saba_toronto Gala celebrating the South Asian legal community. Thank you to the incredible @mrs.tasa for the kind, generous invite to join your table. I’m grateful to have found a forever friend and sibling in you. Huge congratulations to all of the SABA Award Winners, including my awesome friend, @sunil_gurmukh , who won the Juriansz and Joachim Award for Excellence in Human Rights for his tireless work protecting and advancing human rights in Canada. And what a thrill to connect with one of my favourite authors, @uzmajalaluddin , who delivered a powerful keynote on the impact and importance of authentic storytelling. As always, the SABA Gala offers a unique opportunity to connect with friends and colleagues across the legal profession! Thank you SABA, Annie Tayyab and the entire leadership team for the vital work you do every single day to advance equity, inclusion and human rights. So grateful for your work! #gala #SouthAsian #SABAGala

Thank you to @jenniferhollett , @cam_dundas , Cailin Cooper and the entire Walrus team for creating such a phenomenal event and for including me. I’ll never forget the power in the room last night and the stunning musical performance from the iconic @measha.brueggergosman.lee . And a huge thank you to @georgepimentel1 and his team for capturing these images and for helping me navigate the carpet and the space before dinner. 📸 : @georgepimentel1

Thank you to the @cnibfoundation , CNIB Deafblind Community Services and Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada for inviting me to deliver a virtual keynote and take part in a fireside chat on 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion as you commemorate the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia on May 17 and get ready for Pride next month. It means the world to be in conversation and community with your incredible team. You have provided such vital services to me and my mom as we navigate our journeys with blindness and vision loss and you will always be dear to our hearts. The incredible @annehathaway encouraged us to dress up at the theatres to watch #TheDevilWearsPrada2 so I pulled out some florals for spring (I attached some floral hair clips to my blazer lapel) and took this look out for another spin to watch the film last night with my friends @ashleydtl and Paul. Fashion and film forever. #movies #film Image descriptions: Image 1: Prasanna wears a black suit, white shirt and colourful orchids on his lapel. Dressed in my Diane Keaton inspired outfit, I spoke on the opening plenary panel at the Internationally Trained Lawyers Conference in Toronto. It was such a tremendous honour to join my incredible co-panelists to explore systemic equity issues in the legal profession and justice sector in Canada with a focus on inclusive leadership, prioritizing competency based hiring processes over nebulous explorations of fit, the importance of organizational culture, equitable compensation frameworks, inclusive storytelling, combatting bias, and the power of community to drive change. Thank you to the @itln.ca and Rachel Sachs for the invite and to my fellow panelists (and new friends) Mobolanle (Mo) Depo‑Fajumo, Alexandria (Ajay) Winterburn, and Adrian Ishak for such a rich discussion. Finally, thank you to the amazing conference delegates for your fantastic questions and comments after the session. #law #lawyers #LegalProfession #itlc2026 #ITLConference2026

We are in a moment where recruitment processes are more competitive than ever and economic factors are having such a profound impact on the job search. I was having a conversation earlier this week with a client about what constitutes an ideal job interview or recruitment process and I thought I’d share my thoughts with you. Does this resonate? How are you ensuring that you get the information you need about the organization and role while also creating space to self-reflect on who you are, what you are seeking, and where you hope to go (and grow)? #career #job #interview #JobInterview #skills Video description: Prasanna, a South Asian blind queer man, wears a white shirt and yellow and white woven jacket and speaks directly to the camera.

The most wonderful day with fantastic friends! Thank you @komalminhas for inviting me to join you at the @greenshield conference “Innovating with Purpose: Closing Canada’s Care Gap” where you powerfully moderated a fantastic closing panel discussion “Scaling Equitable Solutions – From Pilot to System Change.” I learned so much from all of the incredible speakers, spent time with dear friends, and ended the day at the top of the @cntower , a landmark I haven’t visited since 1992. #friends #toronto #conference #spring

This year's ITL Conference and Gala is truly transformative, and this panel makes it clear. With experts in human rights, public law, and indigenous law, our panel, Prasanna Ranganathan, Alexandria Winterburn, Adrian Ishak, and Mobolanle Depo-Fajumo tackle the hard questions: Why is 'fit' a problematic concept? How do we adapt to new and very different modes of working, communicating, and engaging with others? Why is it important that we recognize where systems are falling short and how do we fix them? Big questions. Expert counsel. Register now! #ITLC2026 #ITLConference2026 #equity #diversity #inclusion

In honour of the season finale of @allegiancetv tonight on @cbcgem @cbc starring the incredible, Canadian Screen Award-winning artist @supinder_w , I am thrilled to share the question I recently asked Supinder on the epic @latenightscrollingpod hosted by the fantastic @producerliz . Supinder’s answer moved me so deeply, because it highlighted the importance of representation and the powerful truth that the specific IS universal. So often, artists and audience members from underrepresented and equity-deserving communities are told that our stories are niche or won’t have mass appeal even though we know at a cellular and personal level that audiences can and do connect to (and are moved by) stories featuring characters across all dimensions of diversity. One of the most powerful things we can do as human beings is bear witness to the experience of others and allow what we witness to inform how we interrogate and understand the world, and how we move forward every single day. I am so grateful to artists and storytellers like @supinder_w and @anarwhali who create and share stories that reflect the world in which we live and imagine the world we seek to build. Thank you Supinder for your moving answer and to Liz for creating space for this convo. Video description: Liz Duff hosts Late Night Scrolling and is interviewing Supinder Wraich. Today is Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV), an annual event dedicated to celebrating transgender people, acknowledging their contributions to society, and raising awareness of the discrimination they face. Trans communities have been at the forefront of the fight for LGBTQ2+ rights and their existence and contributions are worthy of celebration. Today’s celebration, however, cannot be divorced from the current reality that anti-trans bigotry and discrimination are rampant at both the individual and systemic levels. Individual acts of violence coupled with a persistent, rampant legislative agenda that strips trans people of dignity, rights and protections have created a culture where the justification for harm receives more attention than its devastating impact. Leveraging the language of protection, anti-trans movements use the perceived fear of losing opportunities and spaces to justify outright cruelty towards and the vilification of trans communities. These movements make everyone less safe. These movements increase scrutiny for everyone. These movements remind us that hate is a slippery slope, meaning we can be and are all just one step away from being the perpetual other. So what can we all do today to stand with trans communities and stand against anti-trans violence? Call out all forms of othering and discrimination. Support leaders who refuse to harm trans communities to garner votes. Shatter the misconceptions that form the basis of anti-trans rhetoric and legislation in Canada and globally. Stand up against high-profile artists, leaders, and authors who continue to espouse hateful, anti-trans views. Make it clear that attacking trans communities will do nothing to address unrelated, systemic issues that are actually causing real harm. So on Trans Day of Visibility, as allies, we need to move beyond the symbolic to the specific. We must act to drive meaningful change by celebrating trans voices, volunteering, donating, and advocating for trans rights (I have donated to @egalecanada Legal Fund this year). We cannot expect trans communities, who experience the most visceral forms of harm, to lead this work alone. We all have a role to play. #TDoV
