Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day stress of running a business, we forget look back at how far we’ve come. I moved to LA in 2004 with a dream, a strong work ethic and a willingness to seize any opportunity to learn. I worked in TV & Film production and talent mgmt the first 7+ years of my career while also pursuing my own writing/ comedy career. In 2010, while chasing dreams, waiting tables and freelancing for industry agencies, I decided to start @presspassla . It was just an idea …until it wasn’t. I had the support of great people along the way and a mission to highlight talented individuals being overlooked alongside positive celebrity news. In 2018, while running the website and still working full time in PR & Digital Strategy, I decided to start my own agency and by 2019 @pplasocial opened our doors to our first office. The truth is it’s been a bumpy and challenging road through a global pandemic, a double industry strike, political & economic turmoil and the fires that affected our city. Many days, I’ve thought of giving up. The path is no easier now than it was back when I started. With success and growth comes new daily challenges, but I’ve learned endless valuable lessons along the way that I plan to start to share here with my fellow and aspiring entrepreneurs. That said, even among the downturns and doubts, it’s important to think about where the journey started. Thank you for those who have truly supported me.
