2025 was…. A year!!! My biggest goal for this year: make art that exists beyond the screen. And I did. From showcasing my first lenticular print with @tribe13gallery at the MAPS convention in June, to participating in the @rioartresidency in July, showcasing a large archival collage at @threyda in September and having my new self portrait series MARYLAND debut at @scopeartshow in December, I got off the fkin screen. Not to mention, my 2026 calendar and planners are available in brick and mortar stores for everyone to enjoy. There are probably people out there who don’t know about me, just liked the art, and have a new calendar for next year waiting for them. Incredible. I also had my Sothebys debut with The Timekeeper, and (didn’t have enough slides to post) got to do a fireside chat with my dad at a conference in Las Vegas while surrounded by my art, because I also designed the programming. Despite all this, I’m going through some growing pains. After completing The Artists Way (yes, the whole 12 weeks) I feel a shift in my creativity. I am fine with work taking longer. I’m fine going deeper. I’m fine with hours of play, just for the sake of it. My work is far more process-driven than it ever has been before. But in an outcome-dominated world, especially with the proliferation of AI, it creates a thrashing tension for the ego. I’ve coped with this by doing things… for myself? I’ve banned myself from Zillow now but I did almost buy a house. I included that in here because I feel like I’ve acquired a world of knowledge from the process. I also got married to my partner @mynameis_andrew this year under a full moon. Because of course. Expect nothing less from me. I shot a lot of photos, barely got sick, learned to fear conflict less, held space for a lot of grief and am better for it on the other side. Next year I am taking my focus in two directions. This page will remain a place for reels, archival posts, polls, etc. but I will also be going deeper on my studio page: @natashamchomko . Pls follow along if you’re interested in deeper dives moving forward. Onward and upwards for a kinder 2026!!!!!

I hope I inspire you through my artwork but I also hope I can literally hack away these terrible stereotypes artists have been plagued with for ages. The world desires artists to be compliant. Compliant artists do not make subversive art. Subversive art moves societies forward. We need subversive art and outspoken artists.

Bushy Bench, 2024 - collage art made by me, edited in photoshop and color graded in Lightroom :) I took this foreground shot in Bushy Park in greater London, the eclipse shot in Arkansas during the solar eclipse, and the feeling of sadness that inspired the concept completely engulfed me during 2024. The further I get away from that year the more I see that I am absolutely grateful that it’s over. Happy new moon!!!
