The @purpledragon_atx took a crew down to the 956 last weekend to compete in the All American 10k in Edinburg TX
It was team cross country vibes all the there! Too many gas station stops, a 9:30pm dinner, a 5:30am Bad Bunny wake up call, some big pay days, and a road beer after.
The Austin crew represented well 🏁
@kiefferallie took the win with a sub-33 10k
@shanrock_runs was 3rd with a 35:20
@cruzzgomez was runner up with a 29:48
@wojd_23 scored a top 10 finish
I was happy to get back to racing with a 31:20 10k
Overall a really fun trip and great start to the 2026 racing season

New course, fiesta vibes, and a big turnout!
There was certainly a buzz around the San Antonio Marathon this year — this was the first locally organized marathon in 16 years.
With all the excitement on race day, we caught up with three runnes to give their take on the inaugural race!

We had the chance to check out Tracksmith’s first-ever race shoe, the Eliot Racer, this summer and over the past few months, we’ve tested it in workouts, warmups, and competitions from a one mile road race to an overnight relay race along the coast of Oregon.
Our verdict?
The Eliot Racer is a lightweight, maxx-cushioned option that offers a gentler, softer ride than some of the more aggressive super shoes where you can really feel the rocker mechanism propel you forward. It probably won’t be the fastest super shoe on the market, but it won’t leave you hobbling around all day after a workout either — which is an important consideration!
This ended up being @jojo_shea ’s go-to race shoe this summer for a lot of nighttime races and shorter, more aggressive distances, and she described it as bouncy and responsive, yet gentler on the joints — “I was always able to leave with my achilles intact and get my long run in the next morning pain-free.”
We’ll keep the Eliot racer in the rotation for fartleks, uptempo long runs and any run where we want a little bit of extra bounce in our stride.
From an aesthetics perspective, the Eliot racer gets bonus points for being the most beautiful race shoe we’ve ever seen in silky white and gleaming gold with suede accents. Gold medal-worthy if we say so ourselves!

Yesterday was one hell of a day for the running community 👏
First, we watched @faithkipyegon chase the sub-4 barrier & hold on for record breaking time of 4:06! And we got a chance to bring that energy from Paris to Austin with a Heatcheck Mile Time Trial 🔥✔️
