Pelican's "Ascending" (2026) is a highly-praised 4-track post-metal EP acting as a companion piece to their 2025 album Flickering Resonance
@pelicansong has always been a band that’s not just from Chicago, but distinctly of Chicago. Formed in 2000 by guitarists Trevor Shelley de Brauw and Laurent Schroeder-Lebec alongside brothers Bryan and Larry Herweg on bass and drums respectively, Pelican’s foundation was built upon the rule-free, genre-agnostic scene synonymous with the Fireside Bowl.
With Schroeder-Lebec returning to the band following Dallas Thomas’ departure in 2022, this reunified version of Pelican allowed the band to tap back into the spirit of their formative era and build something distinctly new with their 2025 LP, Flickering Resonance.

Swedish post-rock band @ohhiroshima has announced their sixth studio album, titled And The Dead Tree Gives No Shelter, which is set for release on June 5, 2026, via @pelagic_records .
"The album title ‘And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter’ is taken from T. S. Eliot’s epic poem The Waste Land. For this album, the dead tree works as a metaphor for ways of living that drain the world of meaning and offer no real way of navigating the hardships of life. 'Oceangrave' by @morgu_official
Born from the remnants of some of Albania’s most renowned rock and metal acts, Morgu rises as a force of cinematic intensity. A six-member collective, they forge a path through the depths of progressive doom, the expansiveness of post-metal, and the raw spirit of blackened soundscapes.
Oceangrave is the second album released by the band. The band is currently in the recording process for their third album.

Utrecht-based cinematic post-rock project @thistlesiftermusic has announced its upcoming studio album, Forever The Optimist, set for release on February 6th, 2026 via FREIA Music / Dutch Music Works.
In recent years, Thistle Sifter has built a strong reputation across Europe for its immersive audiovisual live performances, appearing at prominent stages and festivals such as AFAS Live in Amsterdam (supporting Sigur Rós), Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht, and Roadburn Festival in Tilburg.

'S i z e' by Details
@detailsnoise is a new instrumental post-rock project emerging from Essex, UK. Formed by four like-minded musicians, the band set out to create meaningful, expressive music that draws from a wide range of influences while carving out a sound that is distinctly their own.
Their debut EP, From The Backroom, was released in July 2025 to strong reviews and a warm reception, followed by a hugely successful live debut in October.
Now, the band returns with their second EP, Size, released on 5th December 2025.

𝐕 𝐈 𝐈 𝐈 𝐕 (pronounced "Five Is Four") is the fifth release by Celestial Wolves and the fourth studio album to date, which alludes to the album title. It is their first post-covid studio album and seven years after predecessor 𝐶𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑉𝑜𝑖𝑑.
