Portraits Of Past, joined by The Saddest Landscape and Drought, will play a couple more shows close to home in California this August!
Tickets for August 20th at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and Los Angeles’s Zebulon go on sale this Friday, May 1 at 10am Pacific Daylight Time. Both shows are All Ages. Summer is so close. - - - >
We are just one week out from our first show of the year at @kotmrecords festival in Arizona! Portraits Of Past is sharing the stage with a grip of rad bands like @reversalofman , @dropdeadri , @policyof3_official , @febuaryemo , @prevailhardcore , and many more. Tickets at link in bio.
Portraits will have a few of the split 7” we did with Saetia at our merch table and intend to stay hydrated. I think it will be HOT in the Sonoran Desert.
See you soon. 🌀
PORTRAITS OF PAST play NFF’26, Sunday August 2.
We are beyond honoured to host one of our favourite bands in this corner of hardcore and punk this summer. True legends who have shaped so much of emo in the decades since their short stint as an active band. A single monumental full length full of unbridled energy and intensity many have attempted to replicate but have never come close to. We cannot wait to close out our celebrations this year with a band most of us never thought we would see live.
WEEKEND PASSES & SINGLE DAY TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW.

PORTRAITS OF PAST (CA)
To write about Portraits of Past is to write about the story of post-hardcore, perhaps to their chagrin—true innovators at a time when the borders of punk music weren’t yet so clearly defined, so infamously far ahead of their peers that no one else realized how pivotal they were until years after they’d broken up. Having reached near-mythic status over the last decade (buoyed further by a brief string of reunion activity at the end of the aughts), it is impossible to overstate not just their impact, but their total singularity, even after 30+ years. Playing in off-kilter times and open tunings, no band has managed to capture their darkly melodic sound since, a nigh-impossible feat in a corner of music so thoroughly mined for influence. The real miracle, however, is that they’ve still got it. If you could only see one band this summer, we’d ask you to consider Portraits of Past.
Witness their second-ever Toronto appearance (and quite possibly their last) at NFF’26, July 31st–August 2nd!
