Last month I had the honor of working with @nickdoyle333 on “Mirror, Mirror”, an interactive installation featuring Oracle AVA 1:13, a realtime AI avatar, self described as a “diva oracle with a twist”, as part of his solo exhibition at @perrotin “Collective Hallucinations”.
Stitched together from an LLM, an STT, a TTS, and a live avatar modeled after a real actor, AVA is programmed to have a 5 minute borderline intrusive conversation with the participant, at the end of which she provides a reading, something to reflect on as you leave the booth and carry on with the rest of your day.
The installation is on view until May 30th at Perrotin New York, 130 Orchard St. I encourage everyone to pay a visit and get a reading!!!
Saarim is a tech entrepreneur with a creative spirit. He’s building ITM, an innovative platform that reimagines how cultural brands connect with their audiences. Inspired by the collaborative ethos of the Fluxus art movement, he brings an unconventional approach to technology and community building. At the heart of his work is a belief in making real-world experiences as dynamic and interconnected as our digital interactions.
The live event space is more capacious than ever. What was once a somewhat siloed experience, in part defined by a network of venues and operational norms, has slowly expanded to include strategies culled from the worlds of art, fashion, and beyond. Within this new reality, @itm.studio is attempting to thread the needle, connecting artist and fan, commerce and creativity.
We sat down with @poolnoodle93 and @camdiamond of ITM and talked about their backgrounds in music, ITM’s strategies for artist empowerment, and some recent highlights from ITM-powered events. I spent all of last year building @itm.studio with @camdiamond around the core idea that experiences are the core of world building, whether you’re an artist/brand/creator/community/influencer/etc. Software to power experiences has historically been monopolized by a few entities and that has held people back in so many ways when it comes to data and audience ownership, email lists, leveraging their power, transparent compensation, and more.
Since going live just three months ago we’ve had a chance to work with local and international heroes @fkatwigs , @welcome.jpeg , @clubchess.club , @heart442broadwaylove , @wetakemanhattan and many more.
