âIl Gestoâ by JR unfolds across The Venice Venice Hotel as a site-specific installation activating both the façade and the interiors of Palazzo Caâ da Mosto.
On the Grand Canal, the building becomes a living image: faces from Refettorio Paris emerge from the windows, forming a contemporary banquet overlooking the water.
Inside, the journey continues through the Second Piano Nobile. In the Grand Salon, portraits and voices come together in a collective archive where image and sound merge into a shared narrative.
The experience extends into the Monumental Tapestry, woven by Bonotto, where the fleeting nature of the façade is translated into a dense, tactile composition of material and time.
Across the building, âIl Gestoâ transforms the idea of representation into a collective act where hospitality, community and visibility become one shared gesture.
On view through November 22.

Two distant voices meet across centuries in Lee Mingweiâs âThe Copyistâs Paradoxâ, currently on view at Perrotin Paris through May 30.
Bringing together an ancient invocation to the Moon God and a Song dynasty poem on impermanence, the work explores memory, transmission, and poetic exchange.
Presented with a jade tablet, a mirror, and precious fabric, the installation invites viewers into an intimate space where distant histories become strangely close.
Inspired by the tradition of Linmo, copying here is not about reproducing, but about internalizing the essence of the original.

A gesture of friendship, a language of exchange.
Pierre Soulages and Hans Hartung developed a close artistic bond after meeting in 1947, marked not only by dialogue and mutual influence, but also by personal exchanges of works and ideas. In the late 1940s, Hartung gifted two works to Soulages and his wife, while receiving a brou de noix painting in return, a work of deep personal and historical value.
Together, they built a relationship where art became both conversation and connection.
âSOULAGES-HARTUNG: AFFINITĂS ĂLECTIVESâ is on view at Perrotin Paris through May 30.

Sigrid Sandström has observed that âa haze tells you there is something behind the hazeâ, and contemplating the vaporous tumult of âGustâ, we may experience a feeling that some vital visual information has been willfully obscured. This is not the case.
These are, above all, abstract works, and as such are committed to full pictorial disclosure. At the same time, and for all their undoubted poise and beauty, Sandströmâs paintings have a restless quality, as though they were anticipating their own transfiguration.
Like the sky, they reflect us back at ourselves. Like the sky, they do not stand still.
âSquallâ is on view at Perrotin London through May 23.

In Nick Doyleâs âCollective Hallucinationsâ at Perrotin NY, he explores the relationships between land, technology, and manifest destiny using motifs of the vast landscapes of the American West.
In two of his works created out of denim, his signature material, Doyle references the dramatic vistas captured by American photographer, Ansel Adams.
âImbued in the old, famous photographerâs scenes was all the optimism and potential energy of the Progressive Era. Even then, western pictures like his evoked visions of economic opportunity through, and in communion with, the land. Now, those same images feel more like Doyleâs interpretations, which are literally locked awayâone behind a chain link fence, the other boarded up with bricks. Once again, Eden has become a cautionary tale.â

âHarnessed from Natureâ, organized by Shim Moon-Seup Art and Culture Foundation and curated by Sim Eunlog is now open at Caâ Faccanon in Venice.
Spanning more than five decades of practice, the exhibition brings together painting, sculpture and installation in a continuum where form is no longer fixed, but unfolds through time, transformation and relation.
Rather than shaping matter, Shim Moon Seup creates the conditions for it to reveal itself. Wood, stone, clay and canvas become sites of slow change, where erosion, tension and coexistence define a sculptural language rooted in process rather than permanence.
Here, sculpture is not an object but a field of becoming, where nature itself emerges as an active and generative force. The exhibition is on view through September 30.
