ꕤ ꔚ Inspired by the traditional Slavic celebratory bread Korovai and the ancient gesture of sharing bread to forge bonds, we will make kin as we decorate, bless and share our own small korowajczyki, each carrying vows to collective futures.
As we sink our hands into the dough, we imagine landscapes where these baked talismans might be placed as gestures of commitment. What memories, stories and emotions of togetherness will rise with the dough? How do we bind ourselves to collectivity, care and resistance?
Participants are invited to bring ingredients, foraged elements, stories or memories to fold into the dough. Together we weave these offerings into breads and close with a shared meal, tasting the freshly baked korowajczyki.
